Last 3 don’t count, he didn’t do the little shimmy dance

Just looked up his playing career. Dude couldn’t score much but was incredibly efficient with a really high A/TO and held the St. Mary’s FT% record until Delladova beat it. TIL he could ball…

I hope you realize nothing came of that and it was all clout chasing. Something far too common with high profile males. Fuck the ones that are guilty but nothing came of the accusations against Golden.

I was just being funny

What you, me, or anybody thinks about Dabo is irrelevant, only one of us claimed they didn’t cheer for a scumbag coach.

Rioux is 7'9. He doesn't even look like the same species as a relatively normal-sized human (Golden is 6'2).

96

u/RealisticBag6374 North Carolina Tar Heels 3d ago

Was it really 4 back-to-back? There are clocks all over this video and it’s like 4 minutes between the first and last shots

77

u/HWLesq Florida Gators 3d ago

He was busy dancing between each made shot. Come on man, get with the program.

52

u/MogaMeteor 3d ago

It was a competition so players were taking shots in-between.

48

u/dfsvegas UNLV Rebels 3d ago

If I made one 20 years ago, and then shoot my next one right now and make it, that's still back to back. It's about the attempts, not the time.

9

u/quacainia Texas A&M Aggies 3d ago

Can't let the streak die

12

u/dfsvegas UNLV Rebels 3d ago

That's why I retired. Gotta go out on top.

2

u/4r4r4real 2d ago

They're implying they took other shots in between that aren't included here

39

u/BamaX19 Alabama Crimson Tide 3d ago

Was he cleared of that or did it just kinda go away?

13

u/chrstgtr 3d ago

No evidence of Title IX violations found. There is some evidence to suggest that he did it to non-UF students, which wouldn't be a Title IX violation. But the report didn't comment on that.

50

u/GonzoMonzo43 Gonzaga Bulldogs 3d ago

The university of Florida investigated, and the university of Florida cleared him.

15

u/DealerNo4908 Kentucky Wildcats • DePaul Blue Demons 3d ago

All they “cleared” was that it didn’t happen within a “university program or activity.” Why do UF fans always conveniently leave that out?

-2

u/Knook7 Florida Gators 3d ago

It was done by an independent firm. Get your facts straight

29

u/goodolehal 3d ago edited 3d ago

Hired by and funded by…the university of florida

40

u/RCBark2K Texas Tech Red Raiders 3d ago

That’s fair. But who the heck else was going to pay for it?

22

u/chrstgtr 3d ago

I'm sure some FSU or UGA boosters would've offered to

2

u/NotaRepublican85 Kansas Jayhawks 3d ago

That said only that nothing happened within a university sanctioned event or program

The conclusion that investigation came to was that there was no evidence it happened “within a university program or event.”

“ESPN on Monday obtained a copy of a letter that the university sent to a female complainant. According to the letter, the Title IX coordinator determined there was no evidence to indicate that sexual harassment "occurred within a university program or activity," and that is why the school had to dismiss the complaint.”

I'll see you again in March Florida, I'm looking forward to a rematch. Only next time it will be Sampson throwing his tie from half court.

25

u/Mike_with_Wings North Carolina Tar Heels • Florida Ga… 3d ago

That game was insanely stressful, but one of the best games I’ve ever watched.

2

u/Gator1508 2d ago

I have hard time rewatching anything but last few minutes because we played like dogshit most of the game.   Rewatching all that stuff you see forced shots that didn’t need to be take and stupid turnovers. And not even taking away from the actual good defense Houston played, just some of the horrible decisions we forced in response.

2

u/Jealous-Mushroom-858 2d ago

I’m sure it was very fun for neutrals to watch but as a Florida fan that stuff didn’t even feel like a real game. When the game ended it was still not setting in like “wait we actually won???”

15

u/Knook7 Florida Gators 3d ago

We have an absolutely mental OOC schedule, but its a real shame we don't play y'all next year. Although your roster is so insane idk if we'd have a shot

1

u/Jealous-Mushroom-858 2d ago

Our roster is considered better going into this season than it was going into last season. We’d have a shot and would probably win. How many allegedly super talented teams did Golden and friends embarrass last season?

2

u/AntiDECA Florida Gators 3d ago

I think the majority of Florida fans would be happy with Houston winning if Florida goes out early to another team.

There's no bad blood between the teams, we got our last championship off of them, and the way Houston lost last year was just heartbreaking... Watching the ball bounce that you're forbidden from grabbing while the clock drains. Plus Sampson just deserves a win, it will be sad if he retires without ever getting the ring. Like our volleyball coach who was here for 30 odd years and could never get over that hump. Always good, but never had it all line up.

The list in the 21st century is just UF, UCONN, Duke, and Nova

Kentucky is sitting at 1 and the rest of the SEC is bringing up the rear with 0

UConn fans seem particularly insistent on making assumptions here lol I wonder why. 2 nattys in the last 3 years and you’re still salty?

22

u/Mike_with_Wings North Carolina Tar Heels • Florida Ga… 3d ago

Y’all are still so angry lol

-9

u/Dry-Cartographer5600 3d ago

Nah, that’s a funny on point comment.

9

u/Mike_with_Wings North Carolina Tar Heels • Florida Ga… 3d ago

Even in the context of a Todd Golden joke, it’s not funny or on point. I’ve heard better

-3

u/Dry-Cartographer5600 3d ago

Please share!

These are funny jokes.

0

u/HumbleCountryLawyer Florida Gators 3d ago

It has potential. You cut out “stalk, harass, and” and it’s a solid joke. It’s too wordy and comes off like you’re trying to convince me he’s a bad guy with the inclusion.

1

u/DoggedDoggystyle Florida Gators 3d ago

Third party investigative firm confirmed no wrongdoing. But don’t take no investigation to find Hurley’s vulva

8

u/DealerNo4908 Kentucky Wildcats • DePaul Blue Demons 3d ago

No. It. Did. Not. All it confirmed was that it didn’t happen “within a university program or activity.”

-9

Unless you’re Purdue. Because they get blown out in the national championship and Danny is a happy boy!

4

u/954gator Florida Gators 3d ago

Why are UCONN fans so salty lmao? They lost one damn tournament game in 3 years SMH. They have like double the natty's of anyone else this century and yet they still won't let it go.

11

u/smokeypapabear40206 Kentucky Wildcats 3d ago

“New Money”… They don’t know how to act yet.

5

u/BamaX19 Alabama Crimson Tide 3d ago

Get used to it. We still have Purdue fans talking shit in any positive thread about us. All because we got the #1 seed over them that year lmao. They beat us and still are salty.

-1

u/Dry-Cartographer5600 3d ago

The comment was actually pretty clever. The UConn flair is just coincidence.

3

u/954gator Florida Gators 3d ago

Yeah but I've been seeing a ton of UCONN hate on reddit and Youtube comments. There's like 1 or 2 guys that have commented on EVERY Florida ncaa tournament recap or highlight video, even individual player highlights. Like, thats crazy levels of bitterness.

-1

u/Dry-Cartographer5600 3d ago

Welcome to winning the natty? It comes with the territory.

-5

Mens sports are such an expression of our gay tendencies while justifying it as straight and tough

13

u/Cranjis_McFootball Michigan Wolverines 3d ago

Put the fries in the bag bro

7

u/mayo_man12 Kentucky Wildcats 3d ago

it’s more likely an expression of primally instilled competition than wtv the hell you just said lol. i’m not gonna act like the liver king over here, but sports in general (football in particular) are the closest things to primal caveman shit we have today. it’s why when a group of guys are trying to win a championship, they don’t see it as a fun game that they’re playing where they just dribble the ball and shoot it into a hoop (which is in principle what it is), they see it as life and death battle on the court. it’s almost natural to take sports so seriously, and that’s because it literally is.

5

u/VulgarVerbiage 3d ago

That sounds gayer than what the other guy said.

0

u/Groundhog_fog 3d ago

Both can be true. It's the only acceptable place in much of our culture for men to touch each other. Slap ass on a basketball court, it's normal... Two men grinding is accepted if it's in the low post... I'm for it. Men need to touch each other more.

-2

u/Just_One_Victory Texas Tech Red Raiders 3d ago

And in the process, get naked together a lot and touch each others’ butts

-8

u/RugratsThemeSong Arizona Wildcats 3d ago

Damn that’s a witty reply, just tryna rile up some preseason hype . With that said, do you remember where you were December 15th, 2012 in case you don’t

17

u/ImRonBurgundy__ 3d ago

I’m not a gator fan at all but it’s not the flex you think it is to boast about a meaningless December non conference game from 13 years ago in a thread about a team that just won the natty

9

u/954gator Florida Gators 3d ago

Game was sketch too lmao. They had more FT's probably in the last couple minutes than Florida had the whole game lmao.

That being said it was the same in reverse the year before. Florida had way more FT attempts than Zona. I don't get why games can't just be called evenly.

-7

u/RugratsThemeSong Arizona Wildcats 3d ago

Flair up then coward.

1

u/Jealous-Mushroom-858 2d ago

Didn’t Florida make the elite 8 that year and you guys finished sweet 16? We finished higher ranked than you in both the AP and Coaches polls

Then the next year we had the greatest regular season in UF history and we made the final four

I think we’ll take a non conference loss. Gator fans would enjoy rewatching that game simply to see Scottie and big Pat together again. No one said they didn’t lose some games.

We comin for yall next year. Be ready

-9

u/auaubie 3d ago

I cant stand that number 10 creep, he is almost a bigger creep than the pervert Golden!

2

u/Knook7 Florida Gators 2d ago

Huh? Are you just randomly accusing Haugh of being a creep

-8

u/Itsalwaysblu3 Kentucky Wildcats 3d ago

I call bullshit.

1

u/Jealous-Mushroom-858 2d ago

Well there is zero evidence to justify it being bullshit so history will record it as true

It was a longer competition where everyone was shooting from half court. That’s why the vid is cut up
