After seeing Penn State’s atrocity of a non conference schedule, this is a nice reprieve.
7 games against teams in power conferences is fun

Can the Backyard Brawl not be a 9:00 start this year? Driving back to Pittsburgh at midnight after losing by 30 was not very fun last year

If I lived in the area, I'd probably check out 'Nova vs. Pitt. There should be more Philly vs. Pittsburgh games!

Might go from New York for that, I’ve been meaning to check out a Nova game and that seems like it could be a good one

Meh, Philly vs Pittsburgh is kind of overdone and forced imo. The only true rivalry in pro or college sports between the towns in Pens V Flyers. Outside of that no one really cares when the Phillies are in town or the rare occasion the Steelers and Eagles play. And then nothing in the college realm exists besides MAYBE Villanova and Pitt hoops; but I think that's just because they're typically a good program with a big east connection and nothing to do with Philly itself.
There's a lot of reasons why the rivalries are non existent but that an entire essay.

what is the vibe of Pitt vs Penn State in basketball? I know Penn State keeps ducking Pitt in football because they're scared. And Penn State basketball is virtually nonexistent. I imagine there has to be a little bit of hype for the game simply because of proximity, but probably not a lot.
