Dude was in a recruiting class that included Vlad Golden, Micah Peavey, Chibuzo Agbo, and Nimari Burnett.

That 2021 TTU team also had Mac Maclung, Terrence Shannon, Kevin McCullar (all would end up as pro hoopers) as well as eventual all ACC player Jamarius Burton.

They had Chris Beard as coach and still only managed to go 18-11.

Crazy stacked roster that just didn't really put it all together

The following year was pretty decent.

I'm still pissed he let Burton leave.

Well damn. Tang needs to find another forward or big. He's pulled some nice additions late in the past, so we'll see.

We just got Dorin Buca whos a 7-footer I believe. But it does suck about tyreek

I think Buca's ceiling is Luis Colon, and I'm OK with that considering the firepower we have elsewhere. Bit it would hav been nice if the NCAA would have ruled on this during the recruiting season. I think there's some guys in the portal waiting to hear on the NCAA we might be able to sign. As I said, Tang has found gems late in the portal like K. Johnson and McNair, so I'm hopeful.

Mcgriff will most likely start now, which I am fine with. Supposedly a high motor guy, but we really need to find a 6’9-6’10 athletic guy who can run with our guards

I'm curious if they have got Marcus Johnson in the weight room and at the training table to shed some of his 275 pounds. I don't think him or Bashir will benefit from P5 physical regimes.

I've heard some talk the 6-10 guy who was to take a medical redshirt might be progressing faster than thought. May just be hopeful speculation.

Osei? I didn’t know it was a medical redshirt, but if he can be a rotational piece, great.

I think Bashir will be fine, he’s in good enough shape and played huge minutes as the main guy for monmouth last year. I do agree about marcus johnson. But I dont see him being more than a 15 mpg guy. And with our lack of height, he will probably be playing the 4 instead of the 3

Bashir is 6-6, 160. He'll be abused by Big 12 SFs and SGs at that weight. He needs to add about 15 pounds of muscle. Very doable with thru the summer and fall.

Thats fair. Its gonna be an interesting season. Tang can’t miss the tourney for a third straight year after that extension and basically being given carte blanche with the nil
