Cooking beans
why is it the instruction videos for cooking a pot of beans say to inspect the raw beans first. Pull out any broken beans. What’s wrong with a broken bean?

You can even get stones and debris with some beans. Inspecting prevents that.

Broken beans can cook uneven. May b old/spoiled. And can affect texture/taste. Removing em helps ensure consistent cook&better flavor

I think the reason to remove partial beans is mainly for even cooking without breaking down. I don’t mind that though so I usually only remove debris.
