As someone that became houseless vagabond for two years it still break my heart seeing stuff like this, being homeless can be OK if you have a Strong and healthy resilient mind, but if you add mental health problem + alcohol abuse and drugs it can fk up someone so bad and he end up like this, the thing is, this video show an obvious homeless but lot of homeless you cant even see they are at least in my country of France its like this, and in germany spain too.

Edit: three replies and I’m already disgusted.

He’s had a roach crawl on him mid stream…. Like let that be a barometer to how filthy the dude’s place is
102
u/awesomface 4d ago
Tbf roaches come around even if it’s not filthy, but he just has a level of not caring that they’re probably much more common for him.

u/Excellent_Routine589 4d ago
I mean, never had a roach crawl on me like that, and I grew up as a poor immigrant
However, my family had a trashcan… and I have seen pictures of Asmon’s desk

I grew up in a developing country. We lived in one of those giant high-rises the Soviets built for us… bro you can hear them motherfuckers crawling through the old, crusty wallpapers. My parents were kind of clean freaks so while the apartments was shabby, it was absolutely spotless. Couldn’t say the same for our neighbors so we got contact infestation lol. Then we impulse-bought a cat. Within a month or two, I didn’t see a single roach. Ngl, I felt middle class lol. I fucking normalized roach infestation for my whole childhood.

Yes!! Looks crude and dystopian but my fuck are they sturdy. Pretty sure they can take an 8.0 magnitude earthquake to the face and be like “who threw that piece of paper at me?”
12
u/whiterice_343 4d ago
Got bored one night and looked up the history behind them out of curiosity. After ww2, most of the eastern bloc was destroyed and those apartments were cheap, quick, and easy to mass produce.

u/Excellent_Routine589 4d ago
Oof! Yeah I never really had that with roaches, both in Mexico and in the US (though since my mention Soviets, my grandparents fled Russia to Mexico during the good ol USSR days)
Like even in Southern Mexico, you’d need to be living in super rural towns or in really poorly built places to have contact with roaches regularly. The worst I remember is that you might see them when taking out the trash, because naturally that’s where they like to be. And it was much of the same when we moved to the US, where on occasion you might see a few spring out when you open the trash bin or some crawling out of a sewer manhole cover at night, etc.
But I’ve never had a roach just crawl on me when totally awake and me being aware of it. I can’t think of any popular streamers where that happens to and they just blow it off like it’s whatever…. Like personally, my ass would IMMEDIATELY go into a cleaning frenzy if that ever happened to me

4d ago
Wait, yall fled to Mexico? Where you from? That is so wild. Things must have been pretty fucked up for y’all to flee to Mexico. No shade to the nation of Mexico and its peoples… Thank goodness my friend doesn’t know my reddit account. He’d be pissed if he read what I said about his country… he’d agree with me but berate me regardless, based on general principle lmao. I grew up in Mongolia during the 90s. There’s a shadow to the north, Russia. A shadow to the south, China. Fucking miserable lol.
19
u/Excellent_Routine589 4d ago
It’s actually kinda complicated but yeah lots of Soviets sorta fled to Mexico and some used it as a launchpad to get into the US eventually but others kinda just hung around, especially in the northern states from what I can tell. Also Mexico was doing well after WW2 (Mexican Miracle) so it actually was an attractive place to be for some. Great grandparents were Jewish so they HAD to leave in the 40s, and they brought their daughter (my grandma) along with and rest is history.
Fun fact: one of the founders of the Soviet Union was granted asylum in Mexico, Leon Trotsky…. He was eventually assassinated by the Soviet Union. So one of the Soviet figureheads lays to rest in Mexico City lol

Holy shit, that’s so cool! Now I have to read about this. Thank you for the rabbit hole, kind redditor. Now I’ll be in my bunk… to research!!

u/bye-feliciana 4d ago
Where is he from? There are bugs in North America along the Gulf and Atlantic coast that are basically roaches, but there's nothing you can do to prevent them from coming in your home. They are not part of an infestation. We call them Palmetto Bugs, but they have other names as well.
People have irrational fears of them. I've had one crawl across my balls sitting on the toilet. My house is clean.
1
u/altymcaltington123 2d ago
My house didn't have roaches, and I grew up the kid of two meth addicted alcoholics in the blue ridge mountains.
Although truth be told, the wolf spider infestation and moms cleaning fiascos when doped out of her mind probably helped

u/XAgentNovemberX 4d ago
He wiped the blood from his diseased gums away with his finger and then rubbed it on his wall. He addressed it when somebody on his stream asked why there was blood on the wall.

u/Mad_Moodin 4d ago
Nope he is.
He is rich af. But he is an extremely cheap and extremely lazy person.
Like the dude literally spends like 2k a month total. While being a multimillionaire. He could easily afford a personal cleaner, he just doesn't care.

u/whiterice_343 4d ago
Excluding his hygiene issues, I respect someone living a simple life regardless of income. But he needs to clean his room/house and himself.

Three hundred rats acting in concert to re-enact "weekend at Bernies 1"? Your figures are wayyy off for stage production.

Severe mental illness is a huge issue in NYC. I sometimes wonder if they are oblivious to existential angst of it all and are maybe happier than we are in their own world.

Turn on audio. As the rats run away you can hear the guy under the blanket say “oh my god”.
