Sarfaraz , Jurel, Karun Nair all made it to Reat XI based on FC performances primarily.

Don't kid yourself. Jurel was picked in the squad only after his ipl heroics. Same for Karun Nair second stint. Safaraz has barely gotten any chances. Likes of priyank panchal never got a chance because they got to play the ipl. Same would be the fate of Abhimanyu.

Sky was picked straight to the X1 from ipl. Same for Nitish and Ishan and the list can go long

Karun Nair was selected on the basis of strong domestic performances across all formats. He had a great Ranji season, an insane run in the VHT, and then SMAT. He did fuck all in the IPL after the match against MI
