In odis it is.. centuries are more common in odis sometimes we even see 4+ centuries in a single match.

I will say in tests one century doesn't really put you in a winning position automatically, anything can happen..

In ODIs absolutely .... Generally you will be put in the driver seat

In T20, it's pretty much a win most times..
