Rant and complain away. Rule 1 Don't be a Jerk still applies, as does the site-wide rule of no witch hunting (naming and shaming).

Message from DMG on X for PvP Players

Upvotes

Also: PVP lovers, I know the list we shared on stream was mainly PVE focused.

We're absolutely planning changes to address feedback - Trials and Flawless, Competitive vs Casual play, Sandbox balance, etc.

Will aim to have that included on the roadmap, too.

Gameplay two days before my previous clip

My sensitivity was just a bit too high for this day at 8:800 dpi.

This was the second day of me using this build at a higher sens (from 6:800 dpi)

Combination blow with 150 melee stat and a single sick of lodestar kills with combination blow itself

Can confirm iggy recoil is no longer deterministic.

Do with that what you will.

Competitive is broken..

Still no comp emblem?

Upvotes

I don't see it at shaxx. It's pretty much the only reason to hit ascendant. It's one emblem. You prepare it for trash modes like heavy metal and for people watching twitch. Someone tell me they added it for this season or they said something about it.

Built To Last perk testing?

Has anyone used this perk? Does it have a visual on screen timer?

Does anyone know how much Aim assist it adds?

tunnel vision gives 20 AA and also gives you accuracy which is really great but you have to get the kill first.

For my build I have rift up often and I also get overshield when I get a kill while my shields are depleted so this perk could be up a lot.

Having it up going into engagements would be superior to tunnel vision but I'd like to know how much AA it adds to know if it is worth it.

I realize most people here are going to say this is a trash perk but I am just curios for a niche build I am working on.

So... anyone else concerned about the Deterministic Recoil change?

For starters, I completely understand that long term, it's for the best. 100%

But I think the first time I read the notes, I thought it meant "moving forward, this will be how it is", as in "all your previous weapons will function with the same recoil patterns they had before".

Now I understand that all guns will be the way they used to be. Idk about anyone else, but on controller, sometimes recoil direction can be everything. Like truly, it can make or break the feel of a weapon.

I'm wondering how all our hard earned rolls over the past year or so will feel now.

What are your thoughts?

Solar Hunters….’on your mark’ changes

Post image
82 Upvotes

Does anyone else dislike this change? Considering we’ve established weapons stat is garbage in PvP.

I always loved solar hunter with igneous and on the mark. The handling bonus from on the mark has such a great uptime. And with the new dodge cooldowns it’s like having Ophidian aspects on hunter. -(warlock main)

Also I know weapons stat grants handling/reload but it seems the testing shows it’s awful. I mean 1 dexterity mod does more then 100 weapons stat it feels like.

Flux grenades

Ever since EoF launched I’ve noticed an uptick in people running flux grenades, mainly on hunter. Has there been a change to them that I’ve missed (or forgotten about) because when I’m stuck with one, it one bangs me from full health I’d say upwards of 90% of the time

This is without being weakened, and with no other debuffs on me (i.e. this happened to me just now, start of round 2 in trials, get stuck with a flux grenade crossing middle lane, bang, dead. No damage taken from weapons, no fall damage, no debuffs, full health and full shields. Just instantly dead)

For context, player who killed me was a striker titan rocking armamentarium with 105 grenade stat, which I think is something like a 0.8% damage buff in PvP. Is this a result of a buff I’ve missed or is there some sort of uber new tech, or the 100+ grenade stat, or what?

Blueberries.gg best weapons list by AI (?)

Here’s a post that adds to the Blueberries.gg AI controversy: https://www.blueberries.gg/weapons/destiny-2-best-pvp-weapons/

Either that or whoever wrote this doesn’t play PvP, which is just as damning. Like, Defiance of Yasmin? Felwinter’s lie? Over Percipial? Gjallarhorn (???) over Truth? Hammerhead over Unwavering Duty? In edge of fate? Oh lord.

Does Trials seasonal KD and Comp rank reset tomorrow?

I remember back then every new season, everything reset… then they introduced Episodes which had 3 waves of artifact and season progression but all ranks and progression remained unchanged and now Trials Report just says EOF which is the name of the DLC but doesn’t specify if its an episode or season. I’m just curious and confused, thanks for any info.

Has anyone actually had umbral echelon drop this season?

I’ve played hundreds of matches at ascendant 0. Currently at 12.5k and have been hovering there for the last 50 games or so and haven’t had the emblem drop. I haven’t seen any evidence on YouTube or elsewhere that the emblem actually drops. Has anyone had it drop for them in the Edge of Fate?

Update: just managed to get it today after a few hours around 13.5k, thanks for your replies!

True or false: Most of these ability issues are product of Bungie taking away special.

Obviously abilities were/are overturned, but this dramatic shift to knives and fist and other abilities really popped up when they killed special.

Now in no way do I enjoy specials running crazy, but I felt (at least in Trials) having 1 shot each round was fair. You trade having a 1 shot potential with a potent weapon (sidearm, shotgun handcannon) that’s always available.

I understand they are in love with their meter, but giving 1 shot on death with the ability to earn more with primary kills via the meter seems like it takes care of some of the bigger ability issues.

Agree/disagree? I just know that I enjoyed life significantly more to start the season than now

Hunter Build Recommendations for a Casual trying to farm Solemn Remembrance

Hi,

As title says, I'm mostly a PVE player. These days. I only play IB for loot, or trials when they had double rep bonus. The last time i played crucible regularly was during the pinnacle weapon eras (Mountain top, recluse, etc). I really want to get a Solemn Remembrance for PVE, so looking for Hunter builds to use in competitive.

I don't really care about wins/kd stats, i just want to be a net positive for my team. I know lightweight knives are a menance, but I don't really like to be cheesy (and it'll get nerfed soon anyway).

I used to play HC/Shotty, but have switched to pulse rife/sidearms since the ammo changes. Looking at my dim loadouts, the last pvp builds I used pre-eof were: 1) arc ascension/tempest strike with stompees 2) solar knock em down/on your mark with arthys.

I mostly play mid to close range, and don't have the aim skills or patience to lane/snipe.

So please let me know what builds are useful and what stat splits i should look for?

Thanks!
