The Supreme Court ruled that the President can break any law without fear of consequences. Of course he will help his family break all the laws too, and then pardon them.

Only if it's official acts. He can't murder someone on fifth Ave because that's not an official act. So no immunity.

Uhh that’s part of the problem. Who is to say what is and isn’t an official act? Maybe the random dude was a threat to the presidency. The Supreme Court basically said well cross the bridge when we have to, after already signaling their intent

It isn't an official act. No stretching.

Here’s the thing. You don’t get to decide what is an official act or not. So your opinion is irrelevant.

No that's the thing. My example is one that is not under any circumstance legal, even by the POTUS. He's not a king. Murder is not an official duty of presidents. It would be murder. It's a federal and a state law not to murder. There are no exceptions.

It literally is an official duty of the commander and chief to approve operations like that. It was thought that it is not allowed for the military to conduct operations on US soil, but that is also out the window now that marines are on the streets of LA and the courts are allowing it.

It does not take any stretch of imagination to see how this is a huge issue.

Any action taken by a President can be termed an official act.

… unless it is. It was needed to protect the image of the president, it was a political decision.

What official orders means is not spelled out and leaves it entirely open to interpretation.

Anyone with a brain can see what they did here.

What if a Democrat gets elected?

Unofficial acts!

I wish Republicans weren't so transparent with their tactics because it's depressing that the sheep can't see it.
