anyone else been in this space for 5+ years and not taken profits?

I feel like i might be making a mistake. i haven't even taken out my principle

I started closely following back in 2020 and started buying in 2021. Still feels like yesterday. Bought through '22, '23, and just waited. Since 2021 I always told myself I'd sell most of my BTC around $140k.

DCA both in and out seems like the best stress free option, so I'm gonna DCA out soon. We're not at $140k yet but I'm feeling nervous tbh if it will reach that high and don't want to stick through another bear market just cus it didn't go all the way. We're pretty high consdiering how far along we are in the cycle, taking out your principle is never a foolish decision

the shitcoin i bought as a lottery ticket is still down -74% (down almost 4x), and is still down even though the market is green. after this increase, my relative's account still needs to increase more than 2x to get back to the end of 2024 level.

How far up are you for holding that long? I would imagine it'd have to be 200+% otherwise it's not worth it.

Ngl I'm p far in the money for most of my positions and most of them are "tried and true" coins.

That's good. After 5 years you need to factor in inflation and compounding. Many people forget to consider this and don't make as much as they think.

8 years and not in profit gang. I would have been far better off just putting it in the stock market. Still hopeful for things to keep rising I might be able to buy some lunchables. They’ll make a bitcoin maxi of me yet.

I have been in 10 years+ at this point and have taken out some principal for a property transaction. However I am still sitting on material unrealised gains. I am not too concerned as I have a fairly diversified portfolio of crypto, precious metals, shares and property
