This is the definition of "extremely oversold", unless anyone out there seriously believes that 1% stock market drops coincide with 10% drops in Crypto in such heavily-correlated markets these days. Heavy leverage can pull it off for a couple days of pressure, but they can't sustain it.

Leverage comes out of the woodwork hoping for quick profit on any scent of fear, and they're just trying to make an impression.

The fearful don't make money buying overblown dips, because they're always worried about dropping lower. This is just like a couple weeks back: short-term fear trying its best to shake you out as stocks slightly pull back momentum.

It all heavily depends on powell’s speech.

That people are so completely on-edge about a pre-FOMC speech that is coming before September Payroll, CPI and the actual FOMC meeting should be setting off warning bells that this is overblown in the short-term.

Powell is a professional who knows his words carry weight and drive the market. He's 100% not going to say "yeah, rate cuts are almost certainly happening next month", nor is he going to totally rule them out.

It's going to be just a bland "Recent data is concerning, but GDP growth is still positive. We'll see where the data points us next month from the next couple reports."

Then the markets can get another 2 weeks of driving up fear from Payroll / CPI announcements lol.
