Late longs on Friday getting wipedβ¦.. everytime. The fact it is happening at this time and not after weekly close tonight is promising. Gives us time to see if the market absorbs it. Now to watch until 7pm cst tonight to see what happens

Whatβs the updated assessment
3
u/LakeZombie09 π¦ 0 / 0 π¦ 11h ago
Eh not great. Looks like a trend into the 104 support for Bitcoin. Bounce there towards end of September

u/loulan π¦ 4K / 4K π’ 16h ago
Any reason for the dip or is it just crypto being crypto?

u/MACO-Operator π© 0 / 0 π¦ 16h ago
No. Itβs just manipulation. Nothing more, nothing less.

u/CaptainPhiIips π¦ 0 / 0 π¦ 16h ago edited 13h ago
I see BTC and in general all tokens/coins following same trend up and down.

Bitcoin is the biggest and oldest coin, like the boss of the playground. When Bitcoin goes up, people get happy and buy other coins too. When Bitcoin goes down, people get scared and sell other coins.

10 kids in your class like to collect pokemon cards.
You spend some money on pokemon cards. The value of the pokemon cards change over time.
A few years later you expect the pokemon cards to be worth more.
11
u/SmokesQuantity π¦ 0 / 0 π¦ 14h ago
And then too many people simultaneously trying to sell the exact same cards when theyβre worth the most. Crashing the value

Everything allows follows Bitcoin because there so much algo/bot trading
1
u/unlikely-contender π© 0 / 0 π¦ 15h ago
manipulation? how would that work?
0
u/SmokesQuantity π¦ 0 / 0 π¦ 14h ago
you could throw a few million down and hope it turns the tide. if you have enough pull maybe just a few social media posts. And viral fake news.
Itβs all still a gamble though, Iβm not seeing the manipulation here. Anytime a stock hits an all time high, people are gonna sell and the price is gonna drop back a bit, no?
Also everyone jumping in and leveraging long bets at the top with the hope that it will keep going up seems like it would fuck things up

Why is everybody saying manipulation π yβall are a bunch of fucking children.
8
u/SillyMoneyRick π© 0 / 0 π¦ 11h ago
Just say you don't know how to read the blockchain. Binance and wintermute dumped the price. It's very clear manipulation.
2
u/dani6465 π© 0 / 0 π¦ 5h ago
When you write Binance, is it volume through Binance, or the company itself that dumped holdings? And at that magnitude? Because if it is simply through finance, what you just wrote is non-sense.
1
u/MACO-Operator π© 0 / 0 π¦ 7h ago
If you do not see any manipulation here but normal market behavior, then maybe cryptos are not your thing. Itβs not a shame, not everybody can understand things like cryptos and markets. Hope youβll find yourself some interests youβll understand their basics.

u/debtfreegoal π¦ 371 / 370 π¦ 16h ago
So the Market Makers flushing out the longs, is actually a good thing unless youβre one of those longs.
The MM probably benefits from a quick short position while driving the price down, then buy back more at a lower price and we are set to run up again this week.
Lesson.., if youβre trying to ride a pump with 100x longs, take your quick profits and move along. Donβt wait to 1000x your position over a weekendβ¦

If large amounts of money suddenly move without external factors being known to the public, it's either manipulation or people with insider knowledge doing some illegal shit.

Iβd say BTC being the first would have the most momentum and trust as the space grows.

They are dumping bitcoin so that eth dumps twice as hard. They want to maintain Bitcoin dominance.

No free ride for late longs, simple as that. Flush market first, then we can pump.

Happened twice in the last 2-3 days. I "tethered" to BTC when all of my alts pumped but BTC dumped. It was the weirdest experience in a long, long time.

First it was shorts and now it's longs...
It will just continue like that and if you gamble on leverage the market fucks you up.

I mean you can always sell at ATH and rebuy when it drops, no point holding bags endlessly through swings, you leave a lot on table.

A friend used to do that , he liked to buy bitcoin very low and sell high. On 2021 he sold his 3 bitcoins and waited for a big dip (he was expecting a crash). He never bought again and to this day he's regretting it.

Itβs bought using leverage (borrowed π°). Price goes down, they are margin called and force sold.

I wonder just how well equipped an idealistic militia could be with $250m? Guess we are about to see. Or we just lived thru the greatest drug deal of all time.

1
u/JamestotheJam π© 0 / 0 π¦ 16h ago
This is all a flawed, heavily manipulated game, in the grand scheme of things. Four months ago, everyone was saying Ethereum was a disappointment. And now, after only a few months, ATH and euphoria. Every. single. time. Same thing. XRP reaches $3.64 in mid July. Then drops to $2.75 only a week ago. This instability is the reason why crypto continues to be seen as gambling, and rightfully so.
