ANALYSIS First time DOT holder.

DOT is near all time lows. I think it’s flying under the radar at this valuation.

SEC has until nov,8th to make a decision on the Polkadot etf filings. Bloomberg estimates 90% probably Polkadot spot etf will be approved in 2025.

I think at some point retail is going to front load the announcement.

It may break this wedge to the upside but what I’d like to see happen is a breakdown to major support (mid $2’s) between now-September and a reversal in October. Picked up my first position a hour ago and will dca down to $2.50 if it gets that low.

AMA AMA: Nillion wants to make privacy the default on the internet. Ask us how

Post image

Hey Reddit!

I’m Alex Page, CEO and co-founder of Nillion, and I’m excited to be here with the r/CryptoCurrency community to talk about privacy, the Blind Computer, and the future of the internet.

For those who don’t know Nillion, let me give you the backstory.

The internet has evolved at an incredible pace, but without privacy as a fundamental layer. Every interaction today, whether with an app, a bank, or an AI model, exposes your data. Privacy has become the exception, not the rule. That reality inspired us to build Nillion: a way to embed privacy directly into the fabric of the internet while unlocking new opportunities for innovation.

In 2021, alongside Miguel de Vega and Andrew Masanto, I co-founded Nillion with a simple but radical mission: to decentralize trust for sensitive data in the same way blockchains decentralized transactions. The result is what we call humanity’s first Blind Computer, a decentralized network that can perform computations on data without ever seeing it. Here’s what that means without using any technical jargon:

Traditional computing (like on your laptop or phone) requires decrypting data to use it.

With Nillion, your data is broken into pieces, distributed across nodes, and computed on without ever being exposed or made insecure.

No node can see your information, yet the network can still deliver results.

It’s called Blind Computation, and it makes privacy the default.

This unlocks a new design space for the internet that impacts everyone. Today, data is captured and monetized without consent, powering trillion-dollar industries while leaving individuals with nothing. Nillion flips that dynamic. With blind computation, your identity can be verified without being exposed and your financial history can prove trust without being surrendered. Most importantly, the value created doesn’t vanish into corporate silos, it flows back to the users.

Since launching mainnet in March 2024, Nillion has already begun to prove what’s possible. Enterprises like Alibaba Cloud, Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, STC Bahrain, and WorldPay have partnered with us to explore privacy-preserving AI, finance, and identity use cases. Our ecosystem is rapidly expanding with 70+ projects across health, finance, and AI. Projects like HealthBlocks, where users turn their steps into rewards, Soarchain, where over 100M driving data points have already been converted into money.

And the scale is growing fast: over 422M secrets and 200GB of data are already stored in nilDB, more than 1.3M inference calls have been made to nilAI, and 42 validators are now securing nilChain.

We have also introduced nilGPT, our private chatbot that keeps every conversation confidential by default. Unlike traditional chatbots that harvest prompts and responses to train corporate models, nilGPT runs entirely within Nillion’s Blind Computer, meaning no one can access your data or chats, not even us. It’s a glimpse into what a privacy-first AI future looks like: intelligent and useful.

The vision for Nillion is bold but simple: to make privacy the default layer of the internet, and in doing so, to open a new frontier of innovation. Just as blockchains made decentralized money possible, the Blind Computer makes decentralized computation possible, unlocking applications we haven’t even imagined yet. I’m here today to answer your questions about the tech, the ecosystem, and the future we’re building. Ask me anything.

MOONS When is the Moons distribution?

I’ve noticed that in RCC it’s pretty easy to find all kinds of information about Moons: there are discussions about MoonWeek, price posts, governance votes, and various initiatives. But what really surprises me is that there doesn’t seem to be any clear information about the actual distribution process.

For example:

  • When exactly is the snapshot taken?
  • On which day are the Moons distributed?
  • Where can we see the exact number of Moons distributed and how much each user received?

It seems logical that the community should have a transparent and predictable schedule — with dates, steps, and final results. But right now it feels like the only way to know is to wait for a mod post or simply check your Vault once the Moons show up.

Am I missing something? Does RCC have an official page or pinned info that specifically covers the distribution schedule (not just MoonWeek)?

MOONS 44,500 Moons burned 4 hours ago 🔥

This puts us at close to 150,000 Moons that were bought from the open market and burned in just the past couple of days with everything being verifiable on chain.

With our realistic max supply, all already in circulation being at around 50M or so, that is almost 0.3% of all the Moons that will ever exist.

With the constant, increasing burns, the app developed by Rickribera and developing partnerships, Moons are a moonshot ready to happen and all the handwork and trust in the team and community is gonna pay off soon.

No other coin/token in the world is already listed on major exchanges like Kraken, has such a strong, transparent and not replicatable use case and a marketcap of only around 7-8 M USD

Unfortunately I fell victim to this yesterday. I know its my own fault and i only have myself to blame. It works for the first day and into the second day and then stopped. Contact support link doesn't work. Scammers are getting more creative as time goes on.

Posting this for visability and awareness that these things will keep getting worse as the crypto market is pumping and peolle are desperate these days to try and make a little extra on the side.

Stay safe and aware out there everyone. Screen shots posted

DISCUSSION Do you believe ETH market cap will ever eclipse BTC market cap?

This came very close to happening back in 2017, as we all probably remember, and since then the general perception has been that the likelihood of it actually materializing was negligible. Recently, though, the conversation seems to have resurfaced, and I’m curious if you think the probability has meaningfully shifted over the past few weeks? How do you personally view the chances of this scenario ever playing out? And if it did, what kind of long-term consequences would it have for Bitcoin’s role as the (as of now) undisputed king and benchmark of the crypto market?

LEGACY Stock

The 17th century, the golden age of trade and adventure. The Netherlands, a small but ambitious country, is just beginning to build its empire, and wealth seems within arm's reach. How could such ambitions be financed? In answer to this question, in 1602, the first-ever joint-stock company was founded - the Dutch East India Company (VOC).

They decided to issue shares to raise money for their expeditions to distant lands in Asia. The shares of this company became the first true example of securities. Shareholders not only received a share of the profits but also had the ability to trade them, which essentially created the securities market as we know it today. So, right before the eyes of the world, trade transformed from business deals in markets to a full-fledged financial game, where you could earn not just from goods but from the trading itself!

Imagine what a step this was for the economy: for the first time, the idea emerged that you could invest not in a physical commodity but in the future of a company. And this was not just an innovation but a true revolution in the world of finance.

Now, several centuries have passed since that moment, and the financial world continues to evolve. Today we have cryptocurrencies and blockchain, and the question remains: what should the next financial revolution be?

EXCHANGES Is anyone actually using grovex.io?? [CEX]

I want to figure out just how legit this exchange is.

I found it by looking at coin market cap under the places that list of all volume coming from different exchanges.

I basically sent an application to list our token in every single one that I thought would be compatible with the Sui ecosystem.

So after playing to about a dozen centralized exchanges, the only one that I kept in contact with an actually had good communication with me and our telegram chat was grovex.

Now they want me to deposit 2500 USD into the exchange, which I don't actually have, I will have to borrow a friend, who says they will let me borrow it.

I want to do a little bit of diligence before I deposit my friends money into an exchange I've never personally used.

As you might have guessed by our seven year old Reddit account and the fact that I am manually applying myself to get on centralized exchanges, we haven't achieved much financial success, but we are a super legit project that has been alive for more than seven years and has crypto app people actually benefit from outside of just financially.

So, that's why I am asking. Everything seems fine, but I want to check because it's not my money and I feel like a total dumb ass if it was a big scam.

P.S. On coinmarketcap they say that they have $1 billion of daily volume on Bitcoin USDT. I know for an assumption that this is pretty fake because they are literally offering to run the market maker on my coin, which of course I want because I want volume to show up on coinmarketcap too

DEBATE US Treasury and USDT exploding USD money supply

We know if from Casinos. You enter, exchange money for tokens, play and once you leave, you change back to FIAT. In the meantime, the Casino doesnt do anything with your money.

To my understanding, Crypto and Tether is different and the US Goverment is going to use Tether to increase money supply. Here’s my thinking:

Treasury issues a bill (1) of 100 USD and Joe Sixpack buys it.
Treasury takes the 100 USD and sends it to Tether.
--> Tether sends 100 USDT back to Treasury
--> Tether sends 100 USD back to Treasury to buy the next 100 US Treasury bill (2)

Now Treasury has 200 USD and 100 USDT.
--> Treasury sends money from bill 2, 100 USD to Tether
--> Tether sends 100 USDT back to Treasury
--> Tether sends 100 USD back to Treasury to buy the next 100 US Treasury bill (3)

Treasury now has 300 USD and 200 USDT.
Since USDT is becoming a fully valid means of payment, US Treasury now has 500 USD to spend, only taking on 300 USD of new debt.

Am I missing something or is this really happening?

PROJECT-UPDATE Lavazza, one of the largest coffee companies in the world, is using supply chain tracking on Algorand to track and authenticate its coffee production. A real world use case that benefits from immutability and common knowledge.

Lavazza Coffee is using Algorand for supply chain traceability, and they’re not slowing down.

They have been doing this for years now. A great proof of concept for huge corporations that want to leverage blockchain to add transparency and trust, in July alone they recorded on-chain:

• 20,000+ tons of coffee cherries
• 189+ tons of green coffee
• 50+ tons of roasted coffee

To see the transactions on-chain, go to the link below and click on the transaction ID. In the notes section you can read all the details:

ADVICE New to trading. Like brand new

I recently got into trading cryptocurrency around (I have been mining Pi through the Pi app for a few years now and had a bit of pi available to trade) I had ~$10 worth of pi and am now trading it around and learning the ropes a bit. I am using the Pionex app for this.

I was pretty much wondering if this was even going to be enough to get started with? It seems if I play my cards right I can potentially gain around 30 cents to 50 cents just from a good 5% price jump.

I figured I would start really low and work my way up, that way I don't lose a bunch of money just learning the ropes but this is a lot slower than I imagined. It's nothing like the TV shows like Mr Addams and his stocks lol "It's up 40! 50! Oh back down. 20! 10..." Lol does the excitement come with bigger trades?
