So, why do people adamantly believe 11th Anni is Namek saga?

There was a lot of Namek Saga assets being used, from what I remember seeing, and what people who went talked about.

But people always speculate, and they could be wrong.

Remember that people have been speculating Daima for months and LR Baby/Baby DFE for years.

Yeah I've been seeing a whole bunch of Baby DFE talk for a while now. Of course Daima is the recent property, so that essentially equals build up for hype and expectations kinda like with Super Hero.

I really do doubt baby getting another unit for anni at all cuz of how much devs seemingly HATE baby for making the only playable one unusable.

The point of that mode seems to be going through the entire db story, so I'm not sure that it means anything. Also, in truths video, he said they also had an android/cell saga fight, but it was still on namek lol.

It could be, no one knows for sure. It could just as easily be a celebration of Gokus first awakenings.

Super Saiyan from namek, Super Saiyan God, Daima SSJ4. There’s never been a full Goku anniversary. I wonder if they’d actually ever do it?

They don't do it because that would be boring as hell (mostly because, the way the game works, many teams depend on big celebrations like the anniversary or the WWC to be runnable)

If by “Villlians” you mean Broly and Freeza then yeah, I agree. Omega and Rose/Zamasu, despite being outstanding units, are relegated to being a part of WWCs replacement. The last actual time an extreme Character had a solo in anniversary was Broly for the 9th. Goku/Freeza is both types and also aged terribly.

First of all there are 4 EZA from the Campaign of summer 2022 (STR Cooler, Tec SSJ Goku, PHY Metal Cooler, AGL Duo SSJ)

Then you have the fact that we still NEVER had a final form Frieza nor Kaiohken X20 Goku scene.

And finally you could do these EZA-S-EZA :

SEZA : Prime battle STR Frieza

SEZA : Ginyu Force (PHY and TEC)

SEZA : All of Ginyu Force F2P

EZA : 3rd form INT Frieza

EZA : TEC Piccolo

EZA : AGL Final form Frieza (from 2019)

EZA : STR Final form Frieza (from 2018)

EZA : PHY Kaioken Goku (from 2018)

There are LOADS of EZA that we could have.

They messed up the Gohan vs Cell during last year (which should have been for the 10th anniversary by the way, instead of these f**ing ToP cards), so they have to make it right

Nothing concrete. But it'd make sense to go with some process of elimination. They've spammed pretty much all of DBS in the past 2-2.5 years. Done Future, DBS Broly, Superhero twice in that time. U6 vs U7, MUI vs Jiren, SSBE,Gofrieza etc were already done in the past year.

So imo it'd be fair to say we can cross out anything DBS related for anni this time. Now with Z, It'd also be fair to say Cell saga might take a bit of break as we just had a Gohan and a Cell. And now we've had SDS and whole bunch of GT SSJ4.

That leaves Saiyan saga, Namek, Buu saga finale, Daima. (Nothing anni worthy left in Z movies). Cooler WWC LRs would work well with a Namek themed anni. So that fits.

And with the new mode in development it kinda makes sense if it is getting readied for anni release and features Namek. And Namek Goku is one of the first TURs they've given the new arts. When you see how selective they are with battle motions, it raises some eyebrows why this card specifically has been prioritized for resources.

I'm only expecting it for one of the parts though. They won't make Namek the whole anni. The other could still go to Daima. Or even Superhero if Omatsu wills it.

there is data mined stuff but that stuff can end up sitting in the game files for years. Take a look at that goku blue summon animation, it took them like over half a decade to use it.

At the event we played a demo of the new content, and it was a Namek map, using Namek characters. The rewards shown were Namek themed. That's it. There were NO leaks about Super Ezas, no mention of the event only being Namek themed. We just played a Namek Demo.

As others said about ezas/sezas & especially the 2022 wwc units (if they dont eza now), the event has a new mechanic coming for y11. It was showcases with namek assets. We are due for anni namek. It’s a popular theme of namek p1 & daima p2 going around & that theme actually works. With the whole awakening vibe. 

Legends got big namek anni units. The game doesnt ALWAYS align but they occasionally do. See the tag blues dropping & couple months later we got them for anni. Like not even no namek anni ever, but no kkx20, fff, its kinda insane.

The new mode uses them and Namek may be the first stage. The mode isn't done yet and they need more time for it (ie: release during anni) and thus Namek should be one of the parts.
