I just hated how none of his reactions to things were realistic at all. Like he’s seeing undead hell zombies crawling out of the ground and this kid doesn’t seem the least bit scared or concerned??

The writing and acting in this movie was terrible, laughably terrible, only Pierce Brosnan felt natural but also weird.

Ghostbusters Afterlife and IT part 1 as well.

Haven’t seen Afterlife yet unfortunately but yeah good mention of the It Kids. I mean I’m almost certain that’s the reason they had such large roles in the second movie lol was a bit frustrating actually because I wanted to see them as older people and get attached their older selves and by the time I finally was the movie just ended lol

Afterlife is good! The girl that plays the lead is fucking incredible, I guess she's also in the Handsmaid Tales but I haven't watched that. The story is a solid continuation and homage to the original, and it has a beautiful Harold Ramis tribute as well.

If you see it though you might agree with me on this, but as good as it was I think they should wait 5-7 years before making a sequel and let the kids grow up. Continuing the story as the kids would get tiresome with another movie tbh. I don't mean that as a dig either, I thought the movie was fantastic.

Yeah, I was just like OK, the other characters have to have something to do so they're bringing in battle droids. cool.

I was okay with most of the movie until that cringe scene. Felt very early 2000s

He was ok. Felt like those GodZilla/Monster movies where you’re there for the main attraction but the story for some reason has random civilians that we don’t really care for lol but I mean it works a little better here so I wasn’t that bothered by it

Him and his mother in future will probably be part of Black Adam family superpowered beings, kinda like Shazam family.

Some of his lines looked weirdly ADR’d to me, like his mouth and his voice weren’t properly syncing

I'm surprised this seems to be a common complaint.

I liked him. If you want annoying kid, watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind or Babadook. I was actually rooting for the kid to be killed off in both movies.

Literally took the bad part of kids in superhero movies form the 90s and 00s. Zero charm
