Why did InterGang just kinda… disappear after the showdown at the mine?

The Justice Society were also asked point-blank why they'd never fought InterGang before. And there was never an answer, none of them ever responded.

They just kept arguing about the "don't kill" rule... despite not giving two shits about the collateral damage they were causing. There were multiple instances of a JS member saying "Don't kill, that's our rule" followed by their attacks putting Laura Croft and John Conner in danger

It feels like the movie was setting itself up for an actual interesting critique of American interventionism and then just didn't.

I'm not advocating for one theme or another, it just seems weird to set up a theme and then abandon it.

Yeah, I did think it was a bit awkward in how they handled all that. Apparently the main characters are just fine with the Justice Society not doing anything to stop InterGang once they get Amon back?

I mean intergang is there for years. The criticism of interventionism comes when they casually start to care and uses forces when it suits them.

Dr. Fate was on protection duty it looks like since he did save the mother and son from their collateral damage.

He definitely seemed very calm and collected during everything, except for the finale when he knew someone would die.

Guess that brings up the question about determinism haha

He moves very fast. Just don’t ask what they were doing there, what they were mining or what they thought would happen by helping find that crown.

I figured their weapons and vehicles were powered by the element they were extracting. I wish the antagonist would have pulled the double cross a bit later in the movie
