Black Adam estimated opening weekend box office in North America: $67 million, slightly above industry forecasts, which were around $60 million.

Many people will say that is not good enough and that WBD will lose money with Black Adam, which may even turn out to prove true, but ask yourselves: which WB distributed movie opened above 60 million recently? Other than The Batman and Black Adam, none ! So Warner Bros still depends very much on DC as its most valuable asset and would be wise to invest in that IP, regardless of a focus on short-term profit or losses.
