Overall a really fun movie and one of the best DC movies in a long time.

I really hope a JSA spinoff is already in the works because it would seriously be a waste to have this be the only time we see Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. Atom Smasher and Cyclone are new recruits here, so something focused on the previous members would be cool. No offense to the new recruits, they just aren't all that interesting if I'm being honest.

Harcourt is a bit of a weird cameo and I wonder where Black Adam fits in relation to Peacemaker seeing as how Waller is exposed as the end of Peacemaker S1.

Great to have the GOAT Henry Cavil back as Superman! Though I'm now wondering why him or the JL weren't called in when Sabbac had showed up. Yeah sure, it's Black Adam's movie, but wouldn't a demon who has raised the dead be a global threat?

Atom Smasher's mask is literally a blue version of Deadpool's mask, lol.

The Rock's acting was a bit stiff but I definitely buy him as Black Adam.

A bit odd Shazam wasn't even mentioned considering the origin of both of their powers.

Was wondering if one of the Khandaq residents was the actor Patrick Sabongui, and it is! He's played a long standing role in both Arrow and The Flash and has been in what feels like every CW show ever.

Sabbac was... meh. Cool look, but that's all that I can really say. Sure he did kill Dr. Fate, but he actually stood there and let it happen, so did Sabbac really overpower him 🤔.

The JSA was like a minute away and Black Adam dealt with him pretty quickly. They were probably on the way when he was defeated lol

Does raise the question of how far the black site prison was from Khandaq tho

I mean yeah, but the JSA are a 4 person squad and 2 of them are new recruits. Though I guess Dr. Fate can make clones of himself to even the playing field against someone really powerful.

Nah I agree. What I was saying is that the JL probably were called, but the issue was resolved before they got there.

Does the JL actually exist as a formal team right now though?

Peacemaker's S1 finale seems to indicate so, and it was said that Peacemaker is canon. But this also ties into what I said about Harcourt being a weird cameo in Black Adam considering what happens in Peacemaker's S1 finale.

I haven't seen Peacemaker yet, so I guess I should get on that

Well damn, now I feel bad for spoiling it, well, sort of. You'll see what happens when you watch it for yourself. I just assume with this thread being spoiler heavy territory and Peacemaker being canon to the DCEU, that most people would have seen it already. I mean, a character from Peacemaker (or well I guess technically she's from both TSS and Peacemaker) shows up in Black Adam.

Oh no worries, it was never really on my radar, but seeing that it connects makes me actually want to watch it now. Also the reviews were pretty good

It connects in a funny way. You'll see.

It's probably the best DC live action show in a long time. Only other good ones are Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, but only the first 2 or 3 seasons, after that they started going downhill.

Patrick Sabongui

Ah, that's where I saw his face from, and a bit of nepotism in play as he's Amon's father in real life

Oh, that's interesting. Kind of weird though they tapped the kid for a major role and his father was only a background character.
