You really can't kill off Dr Fate... It didn't surprise me to know he'd die seeing how he wasn't Giovanni Zatara, a well-known Dr Fate in DC. So, it's very likely that Dr. Fate will be back. Hopefully we get Zatanna as well. So, there's still hope.

I can imagine them going for Khalid Nassour and having a young actor do it. That way they can have him in a team of young heroes with atom smasher and cyclone, with Carter as a mentor

Yeah but let's face it, part of why Fate was amazing in this was Brosnan. A replacement might just not cut it
