A lot of unnecessary hate. Compared to what venom has done with their “anti-heros”, pairing black Adam against the justice society was a lot of fun. The themes of whether or not a hero can kill was interesting. Overall I found a lot of the characters to be very likeable.

I don’t think they even really explored the themes about death. The Justice Society were viewed as the bad guys by the movie until they let Black Adam just do his thing, and the movie’s ‘moral’ characters, the mom and her son, had no problem with Black Adam killing people. At most, murdering the one guy they wanted to get info from was the only time it caused any real conflict, and the movie brushed it off like a joke. I don’t hate Black Adam, and I think the Venom comparison is appropriate. But I wouldn’t say that’s a compliment given that Venom is kind of just a dumb fun movie at best.

I don't think it was explored at all tbh. All they did was have Black Adam save everyone, kill bad guys, and every now and then say "I'm no hero".

I'm also not sure why Superman wasn't sent to him from the get go
