I‘m in Iceland right now. Seeing what all the rental Dusters are capable of in rough terrain is incredible.

I like the first gen logan more, they put same chassis to dusters.

I'm pretty sure any dusters past 2012 use the new platform

Also Duster with only 4*2 transmission and AT wheels is very capable on offroad.

Sandero is surpisingly capable offroad for being just a hatchback with 2wd.

Driven a lot of rental sanderos, and they can deal with eastern european rural roads areas well.

i don't really see the use of those since you can't turn off the traction control

Still better that summer tyres.

I think you can but need to find the fuse and remove it.

it doesn't work like that, the engine won't turn on after. Bullshit safety features...

but recently the added a button to turn off the traction control, but only in sandero stepway extreme and jogger extreme

This guy did it on gen 2 sandero. Maybe on gen 3 is not working anymore... dacia sandero deactivate esp

That is just the electronic stability control. The traction control is still on, he says it on the video. In fact from him I know it's not possible, because the ABS fuse shares the same fuse with the immobiliser, and if you turn it off you won't be able to start the car.

There is indeed a way you can turn it off, if you lift the fron wheels up and you let the spin freely for 2-3 minutes, the car will get into "Dyno mode". But once you go above 40km/h the car switches back to normal.

There's much easier solution.

You put a switch on one of the ABS sensors. The system cannot work without signal from wheels, so it shuts down, but the car keeps working.

Yes, but I'm sure that fucks with the warranty🤣 That's what I'm planning on doing with mine after it expires

The main problem with offroading is the diff. If you get one tyre in deep mud, the diff puts all the torque on that wheel. I mean AT tyres help until a point

Thats absolutely right. But tyres alone help a lot. With the summer tyres I had before I was scared of wet grass. Tried to drive up a muddy forest machine trail today, except for the ground clearance it was fine.
