Amateur Wicked- slightly better vid

ADVICE PLSPLSPLSPLSPLS. Clip is from about three weeks ago but went to another class today and struggled with the same things 😭 panicking at full speed mode and leg work, and it completely messes me up every time. I notice filming I especially struggle not having a mirror. Not sure how to get over that either. I feel like that messed me up even more, as well as getting very embarrassed because the others in my class are FAR better with staying on the music with the speed.

You have good arm positioning in most of the movements! You should finish better some of them!

Something that would really help is to start on easier choreo because this one is really difficult

Yeah. It is 😭😭 it just happened to be the first k-pop dance I learned because it’s what they were teaching my first class, and it’s not a level based one

Lol! It was the first one? You did it really good then! There’s some potential in it!

P.S: I used to have levels on my Kpop Classes but I have seen that in a lot of places they just make open classes idk why

Yeah it’s just open at mine. My city does not have a very big kpop community and there is only the one place with classes so there’s no levels. It’s hosted by a dance cover group we have.

Hi I learned this dance recently! I can't tell if you're trying to mirror the actual dance or if you're putting in your own little personal twists but I just found someone on instgram that danced it in a style I liked then used a mirror and video recorded myself and practiced until I looked similar to that video. First is learning the core movements that are needed to capture the essence of the dance, then many many many watch video-record myself-compare cycles to capture the smaller movements that give the dance style. I'm also just a beginner though, so take that with a grain of salt.

Have fun though you're killing it! If it makes you feel better it took me 2-3 weeks to learn this, it was sooo much more difficult than I expected.

I learned this in about a week total 😭 I actually learned it at my very first class so, not the easiest first dance but we were taught the core stuff. I am just very un-coordinated

I am probably just as uncoordinated or worse (I'm in my early 30's and never danced before), so you got it!! Just takes a lot of practice, best of luck!
