I think Indie Cross is more so a fan series. There is a bit of thin line between indie animation and fan animated series.

Depends on what you gave on both sides. Indie Animation's biggest trump card the TSC! Indie Games has... The Princess, The Visitor, Monika, ETC.

Giving the BFDI characters (if there is more than one) Yoylelite would probably be a pain in the ass for indi games since if they die the yoylelite allows them to recovers themselves

Pretty sure that's a hyperbole and never meant to be taken seriously. That's more focus on the many ink from the Ink Machine or the Cycle. Also in the blog it wasn't even counted as a universe more like a pocket dimension.
