What if... the battle is sequel to Shigaraki vs Mahito? Deku goes down to the ruins of the train station after hearing Shiggy and some villain threw hands there (ba dum tish), and there he runs into Miles, who was doing his own investigation.

Breaking news: deku, a japanese student of UA's hero course, beats Spiderman to death. Not the original red Spiderman but the new one who turned out of be a young black teenager.
UA Is now under investigation for it's lack of ethics class in it's school program. And deku, who’s real name is Izuku midoriya, Is under trial for murder in a foreign country, which Is building up to be an international incident.
Best intro would be Deku confronting Miles because he doesn't have a hero license and Deku tries to calmly bring him in because vigilantes are illegal in MHA.
An Inhuman with the power to show supposed visions of the future showed a scene of Miles killing Captain America. While Miles was panicking about it Carol went to arrest him, and she only didn't do it because half the people present pointed out how BS her attitude was.
And if I'm not mistaken she tried to arrest Miles the day after that when Cap went to calm him down
The whole event is based on her being impulsive and Tony saying that blindly believing in Inhuman is BS.
The writers realized how little basis Carol's side had and had to literally make Tony kidnap the Inhuman to run tests on him about how his powers work (the guy was fine with running tests since he also wanted to understand how his powers worked).
And you know the best part? Tony was right.
The tests he conducted showed that the futures the guy saw weren't 100% guaranteed, only that they had a high probability of happening. And even after that, Carol kept arresting people based on this inhuman's visions.
Literally the entire event would have been avoided if half the cast had acted in character and decided to check out how these visions worked instead of engaging in a stupid tug-of-war of "we have to use these visions" or "we can't use these visions".
Also what's stopping anyone from just preparing for the worst and just being in position incase something happens rather than arresting people ahead of time.
I could see that. Miles was also one of the lead characters in Outlawed, the event about vigilantes under 21 needing to get a license / government approval, so they could have a reference to that as well.
Wasn't deku himself a vigilante once though? I know he had his hero license by then but he wasn't actually cleared to act as an hero, so it would be a little hypocritical of him
That's why I said he'd calmy try to bring Miles in. He'd understand why Miles did what he did but can't just let him get away with breaking the law so he'd try to be as peaceful as possible. Miles likely would try to fight or run off so that causes them to fight.
Most of the fight Is just the two of them yelling slurs to each other, deku wins because the previous users are giving him ideas for them, so deku never runs out of slurs
I mean, I don't think Black people being racist to white people is better either, but I think it's slightly less bad, which I do consider to be different from being better, if that makes any sense?
As someone that most people would consider white, I can at least acknowledge that when Black people hate white people they have a reason, they have personal experience, while when a white person hates Black people, it's just because they're an idiot who falls for propaganda.
Nothing indicated a friendly competition. It was straight bloodlust from the jump. An interaction at the start wouldve been amazing to set the tone of the fight. But nope… no direct interactions between any of my boys. Just one liners that barely have any impact… they did my goats so dirty…
Miles has a reputation as a good hero? He saw him in action? These are better than a lot of setups we’ve seen on DB.
I don’t know what makes you so obtuse. Either you’re overthinking this or you just don’t have any imagination; judging from my prior takes I’ve seen from you, I lean towards the latter.
My brother in Christ, it’s about as logical as your average DB setup and it‘s designed to start things off as respectful between the two so that neither has to be the asshole in this situation.
Lastly, nobody is impressed by “No U”. Think of your own setup and then you can talk, cause this was just me spitballing here.
Vigilantism is illegal in mha and Deku's mask makes him look like a villain, Deku has to take Miles in for vigilantism and Miles can't do that and also Deku looks like a villain if he starts with his hood on so there easy setup
Whenever I see this image, all I hear is that one clip that goes "Daddy's not___" (I legitimately cannot remember what he actually said but that's probably just my brain suppressing it)
I personally want the episode to take place during the Vigilante Arc, and Deku is still doing hero work, but people are suspicious of him, including Miles who tries to investigate him, but by the end of the fight Miles inspires hope back into Deku, kinda like an alternate version of what happens in actual MHA
Personally, I think it should start with them thinking the other is a villain, but have a moment midway that proves to them both that they are both heroes, then they just fight for the fun of it and to see who is stronger
Also if they wanted a racist Deku meme have it be referenced with Black Whip, Deku realizes what he said, and quickly apologizes, with Miles being chill
I’m still so confused on what the thought process behind writing that line was
I want to think it’s meant to be a reference to piccolos time as King Piccolo but I’m probably just thinking too deep into it and it’s just bad writing lol
It's especially not great since there's a moment in MHA Deku defends a woman with a mutation quirk from being harrassed by people assuming she's a villain because of how she looks.
Ah yes, DB would take a character who's only a racist in memes, and then make them a completely 100% genuine racist in a fight. This is totally gonna happen in Deku vs Miles!!!
(I hate this community so much, I hate this subreddit so much, I loathe r/deathbattlematchups and what it's become)
I mean they won’t really do that to Deku if I’m being honest
But I would feel like they would do “Racist Deku” as some sort of a dumb reference but either way they won’t butcher his character cuz THAT would pretty much be out of character for them
I’d like to think that the fight takes place after the events of Across the Spiderverse. Miles gets stuck in the wrong universe, and Earth 42 Miles gets Deku to deal with the “impostor”, believing that it’s a villain of some sort.
