Tie, generally speaking I feel Brandon has higher heights but also lower lows, so while Brandon has a huge range of lyrical tracks to choose from a good chunk don't stack up to the best either have.
Therewolf also doesn't do many lyrical songs, at least compared to Brandon, but the ones that get lyrics tend to compliment what I consider better instrumentals better too.
That said, I think their peaks are roughly similar considering some of their best work comes from working with each other, so tie.
Therewolf makes better Death Battle tracks that work with fights, Brandon makes better songs I want to listen to on a car ride. Both are still great at the other tho.
Brandon just has WAY more songs that I like (Spiral of Emotions, That’s no moon, Solid state invincible, etc.) in comparison to therewolf (Requiem for a Thief, Emerald Heroes), I pick Brandon
Therewolf. It's highly subjective but I find myself enjoying their instrumentals slightly more overall. They also made Ego Death, which is in my opinion the greatest death battle instrumental track of all time.
Therewolf, way higher quality and banger instrumentals than Brandon, who while has some great instrumental tracks (that's no moon) most of them are pretty bland in comparison to Therewolf's
Most of his are just so heavy hitting and really good at capturing the nature of both characters and series, some I think that do a good job at this especially are Hell over Heaven, Wild Tomfooler E., Sussy Beans, Forever Terror Night, Wubba Lubba Allons Y, One King to Rule them All and so many more.
Ignoring the fact that he has done Death Battle tracks with Mr. BURY THE LIGHT himself TWICE, and ignoring the fact that both Brandon and Therewolf occasionally do collabs with each other, Brandon did commission tracks featuring the guy from Metal Gear Revengence, and does more collabs in general.
Brandon Yates. The main thing that puts it in his favor IMO is the fact that he did WAY MORE vocal tracks than Therewolf, as it would be a tie otherwise.
Tie, Brandon has been doing this longer and makes music that is generally more suitable to listen to on its own, but Therewolf makes tracks that are more specialized and by extension more faithful at the cost of not really being something you listen to while commuting or going shopping or anything.
Lyrics-wise Brandon's got more tracks but personally speaking I don't think all of them are winners and some can even sound jarring when the lyrics feel forced, that said his writing generally has higher peaks especially with collabs so tie here too.
Track art is generally outside help so tie.
Ultimately, this is stats vs hax, Brandon's got the strength and speed advantage with collabs and music output speed, but Therewolf has a huge advantage in versatility with his range of musical talent extending further.
But none usurp the other enough to cause a significant enough gap to crown a definitive winner here, so that's why I'd say it's a Tie.
While he does have more categories than Therewolf, the main thing that gets him those categories that aren’t ties is the fact that he has been doing tracks for way longer, and thus had the opportunity to make more tracks, which isn’t a nod against Therewolf, as again, they both do GREAT music, and if they had started their commission track spree at the same time, I’d just have it be a DRAW. However, Brandon’s experience (and due to said experience, vocal tracks and collabs) gives him the edge.
His lyrics, quantity of commissions and experiance in the field are ultimately what gives him the W but the instrumentals from therewolf doesn't make it easy.
How I decide the catagories: I will take all the upvotes from each comments in the catagory and which ever character has the most upvotes in total will take the catagory.
No Downvoting: It accomplishes nothing and only makes things worse for the rest who're expecting a fair debate. If I recieve upto date evidence of vote rigging, I will suspend the perpetrator(s) for 2-weeks.
Give an Explanation: When choosing who takes the catagory, please give a rough or thorough explanation for your choice. A link to a source to back up your reasoning would also help, if you're able to.
No Favouritism: We all don't like to see our favourite characters lose but in a debate we must put those feelings aside for a fair and equal fight.
