How I decide the categories: Whichever answer gets the most upvotes, whether it be one of the combatants or a tie, I'll have it take that category.
No Downvoting: It accomplishes nothing and only makes things worse for the rest who're expecting a fair debate. If I see up to date evidence of downvoting, I will suspend the perpetrator(s) for 2-weeks.
Give an Explanation: When choosing who takes Strength, Speed, etc, please give a rough or thorough explanation for your choice. A link to a source to back up your reasoning would also help, if you're able to.
No Favoritism: We all don't like to see our favorite characters lose but, in a debate, we must put those feelings aside for a fair and equal fight. Also, only participate if you are familiar with both characters (if you are not familiar with one or both characters, you are free to research about them).
Michael. While Genie similarly can’t really be killed by physical damage, he generally doesn’t tank attacks, instead getting damaged rather easily and regenerating.
While not as knowledgeable as Michael, he has tons of combat intelligence through facing off against multiple different genies in the past. Alongside multiple ways to gain information on the fly, being able to figure out Michael's weaknesses over the course of the fight, and ways of deception and cunning skill, Genie would more than likely be able to outsmart Michael in ways he wouldn't even expect.
Michael via having Janet, she's omniscient and even when she's dealing with something unfamiliar to her programming it only takes seconds for her to learn everything about it.
Genie probably, Janet is useful but Genie has a device that can negate someone's own magic if they're more powerful than him so I think that takes the cake.
Genie, as he fights far more frequently against a wide variety of foes in his weight class whereas Michael more generally torments mortal souls vastly inferior to him.
With the control he has over his body, being able to access other dimensions like Michael, and is able to teleport around more rapidly so he definitely takes agility.
He's faced a plethora of different Genies and other grand threats, being able to fight on par with some and even trick a couple of them on several occasions.
Michael is pretty hard to take on, but Genies greater skill, better hax/win cons overall, greater strength and creativity with his powers would be able to have Michael on the back end and leave him open for the final blow.
Genie via fighting other magical entities like him in a direct fight, unlike Michael who's ever done that once in a low-scale bar fight while relying on Janet lol
He's has abilities Michael has and more. Teleportation, voice manipulation, reality control, regeneration, all things Genie can do to a more versatile extent by comparison. Along with begin able to learn what he needs through his powers via cosmic awareness and precognition, he'd be able to see what Michael will do and counter it when he gets the chance.
Micheal who can probably just wipe Genies memories with a snap of a finger, also he has Janet who can know any information about anyone possibly including the Genie
