I say it's debatable since both can get to outer, but I'm leaning towards Unicron thanks to corruption, and that he could probably process and turn Gurren Lagann into his own slave, and could attack Simon's soul (if you equalize Sparks as souls, not sure about this one though).
Iâm pretty sure the worst that Dark Energon has done to humans is make them sick like what happened to Raph. Also, since Simon is what powers Gurren Lagann, along with the fact that heâs as strong if not stronger than his mech, Unicron possessing it wouldnât be that useful. Plus, Unicron driving him mad wouldnât work since overcoming the Multiverse Labyrinth should make him extremely resistant to Mind and Emotional Manipulation
Honestly, I'm not too sure on corruption being a good wincon, tech manip might not have been useful as I once thought, but I don't think Simon has ever shown resistance to soul manipulation. Sure, he has resisted mind and emotional manip, but I don't think he has ever actually shown soul manip unless I am wrong.
I should have specified that Unicron can manipulate technology, allowing him to completely alter and control the structure of the tech to suit his needs, though Simon can do that too, so that point may not be as advantageous as I thought (Though Unicron I think is stronger initially, so he probably would just prevent Simon from countering his tech manip with a more powerful tech manip)
Yeah, that's why I wrote initially, since Unicron initially is stronger and has more powerful reality warping abilities that can counter Simon's own, which Simon can overtime adapt to thanks to spiral power
Genuinely, how? Simon is far stronger than Unicron, can easily outwill any mental attack, and has reality manipulation (probability altering drill missiles).
Nya (who has the same powerset as Simon, only LESS) was able to continuously reconstitute herself down to the informational level for a week straight. To be clear, that is a level more comprehensive than just the soul level.
Being an "embodiment" of something in and of itself means literally nothing without actual feats to back up genuine invincibility. Simon's resistance is more thorough, so he resists it.
Unicron is stronger than Simon initially, Simon has to grow and evolve over time with spiral energy to become stronger than Unicron. Not to mention Unicron himself has resistance to reality warping, existence erasure(survived existence erasing artifacts like the matrix) and can warp reality himself. He also has existence erasure, and is also really hard to kill, as not even the True Star Saber is able to kill him, and is super smart thanks to quantum computing that constantly calculates probabilities forward and backward through time
Yeah, unicron destroys universes but simon has an instance where he absorbed a multiverse and can basically stop himself from erasure by willpower.
There's plenty to debate around.
There's this thing I see with some characters like superman, alien X and in this case unicron where alot of people just assume they stomp anyone....I mean they usually do but occasionally an opponent does come in where you have to check the stat sheet and realise this mf has a chance of doing it.
