Nya (who has the same powerset as Simon, only LESS) was able to continuously reconstitute herself down to the informational level for a week straight. To be clear, that is a level more comprehensive than just the soul level.

Yeah but again Unicron’s corruption is very potent, like it can affect sparks of Megatronus (and Megatronus is the embodiment of entropy)

Being an "embodiment" of something in and of itself means literally nothing without actual feats to back up genuine invincibility. Simon's resistance is more thorough, so he resists it.
