The Looney DNA Dissolver worked on Toons as a whole, they explained how it's more a fundamental aspect of a Toon than literal DNA, and a black box brought Warner Brothers considering Tom and Jerry close enough to the Looney Tunes.

So uh, I guess Death Battle would fucking analyze if a Kremling meets the scientific definition of a Crocodilian?
