Not sure about Knuckles vs. Piccolo being debatable. Does Knuckles have anything to keep up with the Orange form?

For sheer stats, I would say Super. It's powered by the same power source as Super Sonic, and has fought alongside the form in canon. There is also no known evidence that Super nor the Emeralds are more generous to Sonic than anyone else, so to speak. So, Super would give Knuckles the same boost as it does for Sonic.

Super knuckles doesn't fully scale to super sonic like, at all so i doubt it (SEGA give knuckles something ffs he NEEDS IT)

Super Knuckles hasn't appeared for a while right ? It's from the classic games and those Super forms don't scale particularly high to my knowledge.

Super Sonic, classic, was able to keep up with Super Sonic modern, during the events of Sonic Generations.

This. Plus it doesn’t matter if he only did it then, he can still do it now, as evidenced by Frontiers, and he would scale to full power Modern Super forms.

I agree. For me, I don't feel the characters change in power over time, but even if they did, Knuckles does have access to the Chaos Emeralds. So, even if a younger Knuckles, in that scenario, would be weaker, Knuckles just isn't that age, anymore.

Talking about hax with Knuckles is very funny as if he uses 99% of the shit you could list for him in favor of punching in character.

Still a factor even if he doesn’t utilise them as much as he could. And his punches would do wonders anyways so it doesn’t matter🤷🏻‍♂️
