Matchup/Debate Jolyne Vs Ganta (JoJo Vs Deadman Wonderland)

Well

Both are teenaged daughters to an influential father figure, both referencing the legacy of a prior protagonist whose tragic defeat kicked off their own adventure (Peter and Jotaro), both posess superhuman agility and extrasensory abilities that allow for unique, speedy transportation, and both received powers from an exterbal source (Jolyne from the arrow and Gwen from the Venom synbiote).

Both suffer an archenemy who is involved with or from an alternate universe (Pucci, DIO Over Heaven, and Morlun). Spider-themed clothing, punkish attitudes, both associated with an alternate universe that ended better for them than the origibal (Gwen is an alternate universe Gwen Stacy who lived, and Jolyne has a peaceful life in the "Wonderful World" universe created by Emporio).

Both were also incarcerated at some point (at least according to Death Battle's mention of Gwen being indited).

Not only that but the analysis would be interesting.

Stands can't be hurt, but Jolyne can. Gwen can definitely hurt her, but can she see the Stand? Even if she can't, Spider Sense could probably detect it.

Jolyne's string abilities against Gwen's webslinging would be a fascinating visual.

I feel you about "yet another comics" character. For me though I just prefer it when they don't do Marvel vs DC. I'd have vastly preferred

Jolyne vs Gwen Haruko vs Gwenpool Deadpool vs Dante Apocalypse vs Gilgamesh

Stuff like Wick vs Bond, or Wukong vs Hercules interests me more

I don't like "involved with or from". That's too vague. Pucci is more associated with heaven and gravity if anything. Making a new universe was his end goal but that's not the same thing as coming from another dimension.

Other than that the connections are fine but this mu just isn't for me, even if it's probably one of Jolyne's better options. I still think Ganta is probably her best mu.

Not too vague for me, but I agree to disagree. Pucci traveled to another dimension as did Morlun AFAIK. DIO Over Heaven is also from another universe.

I'm not sure what connections Ganta has with Jolyne actually and I'd be interested to know what they are. I could see them both being teenagers incarcerated under false allegations and given mysterious powers.

Both are accused of crimes they didn't commit and sent to corrupt prisons filled with people with supernatural powers. However, they obtain the same kind of power via an object from their parents. They can get hurt if they overuse their powers however. They then go onto fight the people in the prison who have strange abilities and try to clear their names and find the one responsible for getting them arrested.
