Stokes was easily England's best ODI batter, especially in India. And this was a masterpiece in bowling to take him out. He was otherwise in terrific form too.

I was in the stands at Ekana watching this one. England were 29/0 after 4, chasing 230, and the entire stadium had gone silent after witnessing a mini blitzkrieg by Bairstow to Bumrah and Siraj. SKY was fielding at the cover boundary in front of our stand, and he urged all of us to start cheering. As soon as the cheering began, Lala came running from the pavilion end, and Bairstow goes clean bowled, first delivery. The entire stadium erupts! Effing goosebumps, man. The rest, as they say, is history.

I still remember myself howling at my screen in the middle of a crowd. The bowlers won the game. This was the best game for India in CWC 2023. Absolute bonkers. Boy, what a night that was!😮‍💨

I wish to see Shami's magic again in the next WC. Undoubtedly one of the best if not the best performing bowler in ODI WCs. Crazy to think he was not the top choice for both 19 and 23 WCs
