Do they not see the seat and wheel signifying human operation? Or have they gone this crazy?

These things also have automatic function. They can go through a pre-programmed route without needing a human in that seat. Source: I worked in a store with one of these and would regularly set it up to go on it's route. Sometimes it'll get stuck and I'd have to climb in and get it unstuck and get it going again, but mostly it doesn't need a human operator.

About a year ago they started testing these in Walmart with a contraption to steer it and watch for people.

I wouldn't be surprised if what I hear is true and it's built-in now.

But these things get a map of the store and can do routes and watch for people and drive between isles fully autonomously.

But I don't think it uses AI as these were hitting testing before Copilot had Image generation features.

Makes me wonder how they'll harass people in mobility scooters next.

Considering how much hate I've seen them send disabled people for using AI if their disability makes art painful or impossible? They likely will. :,)

I've already seen people with mechanical prosthetics and implants getting targeting with this shit and they're not too happy about it either.
