Ayyy that’s my post!

Here’s my explanation from the post:

Okay the explanation of the paint job (which really won’t clear it up very much) is that it was 2001 and my mom was in The Gambia visiting the people in village that she met in the Peace Corp a decade before and dad and his friend splatter painted the bedroom as a surprise. My parents have since moved out and my boyfriend and I have commandeered the bedroom (and the cat). We’re a weird arty family and I like the paint job. I’m always finding interesting shapes in the splatters- like the giraffe and the crane.

The Gambia? Who knew?

The Gambia is one of a small number of countries for which the definite article is commonly used in its English-language name and where the name is neither plural nor descriptive (e.g., "the Philippines" or "the United Kingdom").[23] The article is also officially used by the country's government and by international bodies. In 1964, shortly prior to the country's independence, Prime Minister Dawda Jawara wrote to the Permanent Committee on Geographical Names for British Official Use requesting that the name The Gambia retain the definite article, in part to reduce confusion with Zambia which had also recently become independent.[24] Some scholars suggest it also emphasizes the nation's connection to the Gambia River, a defining geographical feature.[25]

The administration of Yahya Jammeh changed the long-form name to Islamic Republic of The Gambia in December 2015.[26] On 29 January 2017 newly elected President Adama Barrow changed the name back to Republic of The Gambia.[27][28]

So you're saying your dad and his friend definitely killed someone while your mum was away and covered it up by splattering paint all over the bedroom walls am I correct?

Have you noticed the polar bear head yet?

I love finding shapes in clouds, so this is right up my alley lol

At first I thought they were referring to the cat’s tail behind it looking kinda like a knife handle lol

If it were any other color, it would at least not have looked like blood 😂

The paint (wallpaper?) on the wall looks like it's been splattered with blood

Saw this post earlier and my eyes went to the Dexter paint job right away.

Your paint job reminds me of the aftermath of my living room walls after my dog shook his head with a bloody nose.

Well, I guess we know what the cat’s been up to.

Looks like they put a little bit of paint on their ceiling fan and turned it on.

I feel like I’m looking at Frances Glessner Lee and one of her Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death tableaus.
