Question Are old builds such as Arc Titan, Concecration Titan, Devour+Turret WL, still viable?>

I just had so much fun playing these builds, is the intention of EoF that these builds can still be used in endgame but you can build it around new weapons / armor or is the intention that every build type pre EoF is just not viable anymore?

I'm just not having fun trying to build around the new stuff atm and whenever I look at my loadouts i just get nostalgic and wanna play these builds again.

Yeh all 3 of those are 100% still viable. Arc titan with storms keep is still very strong, and has a multitude of exotics you can use with it such as cuirass, skullfort or alpha lupi etc.

Prismatic consecration is now just "strong" instead of "stupidly strong and brain-dead easy". The nerfs to ignition damage are definitely felt but it's still absolutely viable.

For warlock, if you mean the getaway artist + bleakwatcher. Then yes this is also still very strong. And in fact is getting a buff tomorrow since they are changing it so that things like arc soul, bleakwatcher, hellion etc are going to benefit from 100+ grenade stat.

So yes, feel free to use any of those builds and have fun.

This is coming at a later date not with Ash & Iron tomorrow, sadly.

I wish it was and maybe I'll end up being wrong but reading back the TWAB where they announce the change doesn't mention any specific timeline and just says it's something they're working on.

Sounds cool. I'll have to look up what the exotic weapon/armor rotations are and i'll make something work.

The builds all still work. The main constraints are just that the artifact perks are new and not every piece of exotic armor is "featured". To advance most efficiently you need to be using all new armor and weapons and "featured" exotics. You just need to go collect the new gear to make the builds you want to use.

"Endgame" now is mostly the exact same solo op missions you do from the beginning but with more negative modifiers and higher level enemies. You'll get plenty of experience on what works best as you play the same solo ops a few hundred times to get to "end game".

With the exception of conquests, any build can be used anywhere at any difficulty. Some builds will have an easier time than others, but if you want to play Consecration, Arc HoIL, or whatever you can.

The game is bleak enough as it is, I'd just play whatever build you like and don't worry about if the internet thinks it's "viable"

Non-featured gear will force you to take an extra -power modifier. Prior to GM difficulties, this isn't very impactful and you likely won't notice it.

Once you get to GM+ around the 400 power range, you'll notice the damage you lose by taking that extra modifier and will always be better off with all featured gear.

Arc titan is still viable, actually still very much used in the new raid (with the stat system changes you can in fact build into getting constant TCrashes if done right). I have been using Barrow Dyad + Peacekeepers Arc Titan for 2 of the bosses in the new raid and consistently get 3-4 supers per damage phase (150+ into the Super stat and about 120 into Weapons); caveat here is that both Barrow Dyad and Outbreak Perfected are getting hit with nerfs to super gains tomorrow since they are a major contributor to how fast folks are getting their Supers.

Consecration Titan got hit a bit (Ignitions no longer scale off of melee damage) but still viable.

Devour + Turret (Bleak Watcher/Getaway/Hellion) Warlock is actually getting a hefty buff tomorrow since they are making all warlock buddies scale off of the Grenade stat. I actually did end up putting together a new Getaway Artist build for my warlock for tomorrow that is sitting at 200 Grenade with fonts and about 120 super.
