Discussion Dungeon Lairs

I don’t know about yall but the new dungeon lairs coming to portal actually sound really fun. i’m relatively new and although i’ve got a good grasp on the game and have done 1-2 dungeons, being able to practice these final encounters seems really fun, and ofc the rewards. btw anyone wanna run ghosts of the deep i need the exotic and its catalyst

So as someone who has done a decent amount of dungeons (they’re honestly my favourite content in the game), while I appreciate what they’re going for with trying to get more people into em, I still gotta echo the sentiment I’ve seen a lot before: they had the perfect system with rite of the nine with the explorer mode, and why they didn’t just iterate on that for dungeons in portal is kinda bizarre to me. Still, dungeon content in portal is much better than not having it I guess

My issue is 1. Its not the whole dungeon 2. The gear isn't reworked what you get taht is worth something is stuff you already might have

If the lairs aren't as rewarding as other options they are just gonna be ignored and pointless to add since they didn't add anything to them that wasn't already in the portal

nah i don’t think it’s a bad idea for them to just do the lair. it makes it to where the whole dungeons are still worth doing. you kinda contradicted yourself saying non final encounter rewards are better, but then saying that no one’s gonna play the dungeons anymore

They're using Pit of Heresy as one of the dungeons. If you enable "Legacy Loot" on that dungeon, you'll end up getting moon lectern weapons.
