Megathread Focused Feedback: Season 3 Faction Rally

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding ‘Season 3 Faction Rally' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the Sub as time goes on.

I think Rank 50 feeling 'like a 2nd job' is more down being restricted to one week and not the actual time it takes to get to Rank 50.

True. If we had an entire month or the whole season for that, the amount would probably be fine.

Yeah, if you farm with the best method, you can get rank 50 in about 8-10 hours of gameplay. This is a lot of pressure if you are trying to do it with a bunch of other stuff during the week, but could be reasonably completed while mixing in other activities as well if you extended the faction rally to two weeks.

EDIT: Just did the math and it's 11 hours without the armor and 7.5 hours with it. So 8-10 is pretty accurate since it will take each player different amounts of time to get the full set.

Yeah, same here and it sucks. Really needs to be at least 2 weeks.

Also with the fact that the Heroic PE to Lost Sector farm is the only one that seems worthwhile. If your raids got you 50-60 tokens per run or if there were other ways to grind tokens just as effectively, I don't think it would be so bad.

We have 3 weeks. They've said there will be 3 faction rallies this season. So you have 3 weeks to grind out the tokens. I don't think bungie should reduce the grind for more casual players just because they want all the catalysts. There needs to be a grind for more dedicated players.
