Question ❔ Should I cut my dreads?

I started my locs back in 2017 after letting them Freeform over a year or so. I neglected the frontal region of my head so all the other spots of my hair outgrew that particular spot. I didn’t mind it much but It started to bother me down the line aesthetically. I do try & limit my retwist or styles but in my industry of work it’s appearance based & I have to keep my hair neat. I will say I’m not the best when it comes to maintenance and could be a lot better about hair care (any advice would be appreciated). I want to say that all of those things attest to why I’m having these issues, but I’ve also played with the idea of cutting my hair and reattaching it to give my scalp some room to breathe and have neater, even parts.

thats not how hair works on… in this case, he balding its not gonna grow back how he would want it to or even how it should grow back

Y’all are assuming he’s balding due to genetics or age off a picture and that may not be this… could be a case of traction alopecia. Realistically he should go to a trichologist for the best answers

Best answer here. Folk used to be helpful in here, but it seems like it's just jokesters and shit now.
