Benchmade Mini Griptillian Streamlight Microstream USB

I work remote as a freelance writer and small business consultant (and occasional fishfluencer), so I don’t need much in the way of tools lol. But I get out a lot for various things and tinker quite a bit with my car, boat motor, etc. so, it’s nice to have a knife and a light handy.

I’ve had this mini grip for like 16 years maybe and it’s been my favorite folder since the day I got it. Sometimes I think about buying more folders, but I realize I’d just use my mini grip over the new one anyway, unless I got a cheaper knife I wouldn’t mind losing or breaking.

The microstream is essential for me. I had the AAA battery version for a while, then it fell out of my pocket at some point while hunting. They had the USB version by that time, so I got that. After maybe 2 years that one stopped working, so I sent it in to streamlight and they just sent me a new one! Pretty sick. I’ll often carry this instead of a head lamp even when I’m out hunting or camping for a night just because it’s more compact and versatile. I LOVE the double sided clip, the way I can put it on my hat bill. Makes it super handy when I’m working on my car or field dressing game. I recently got a wuben G5 to try out, which I’m excited for. But I keep grabbing the microstream out of habit.
