Grip tape makes such a difference

I never bothered to change the stock grip tape until now as it started peeling. Came across this cool topographic design, and it looks SO much better. I highly recommend changing out your grip tape asap!

I got a course 3M tape roll like for steps, laid down 2" wide strips symmetrically, this 3M job is all function. And got to the edges of the deck, anodized aluminum is slippery when wet =)

It actually does grip far better than basically any rubber/silicone design. Only downside is that it does get very dirty, which can be kind of difficult to clean.

I wouldn’t consider it “fancy” I would consider it more subtle. Especially when you see the other crazy designs out there like caution tape, checker board style, fucking dragons lol. I think this is as “fancy” as I would ever get.

Yeah I mean I wouldn’t have replaced it if the original tape wasn’t peeling off already. I figured I’d give it a shot since it’s cheaper than the original tape from WyrdRyds.

Mine had grip tape but it felt so cheap. I ended up regripping it and it's made a world of difference

grip tape is cool and works wonders but only until it gets dirty, that's where rubber wins, one needs to be replaced and the other is infinitely reusable

Yeah I agree, my old scooters used silicone deck tape. It looks more premium, and it does last longer. However, grip tape is more useful for grip, and for a fast and powerful scooter, I prefer the grip tape. Replacing it isn’t a big deal as the original lasted 480 miles before the corner started to peel. I pulled it sooner rather than later because I wanted a new look. It’s also super cheap, so not a big deal.
