General NO ONE warned me how EXPENSIVE it would be to charge this thing (Segway MAX G3)
In Toronto, our overnight* (7PM to 7AM) rate is CAD$0.076 per kWh (nuclear and hydropower)
MAX G3 has a 0.6kWh battery.
Worst case, I get 35km range.
A full charge is 4.5 cents.
That means 1 penny = 7.5km
wtf.
I wasn't thinking about cost to operate when I bought this, but if you told me it would be this cheap, I would have checked your math.
We got rid of our penny years ago, so if I top up at a friend's house, I can't even pay them if I wanted to.
I guess people already in the hobby take this for granted, but it's pretty mind blowing as someone who just got their first scooter. No reviews anywhere were talking about how insanely cheap it is to get around on these things.
\Peak daytime rates are 2x. So, 9 cents to charge.)

$.045-$.09? Expensive?
What?
If that’s just in CAD, in my USD it would be like $.03-$.07, right?
That’s… that’s not bad.
Compared to gas, you’re still saying a good chunk of money.
(I read wrong, didn’t I?)

You'll spend more on tyres than electricity on them. That's guaranteed. a bit of a trade off
