Tech Support Rim bed width of Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite 2nd Gen?

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I own a Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen) and I’m trying to find out the exact rim bed width (internal rim width).

The official Xiaomi specs only mention the 10-inch tires, but don’t provide any details on the rim itself. I need this info because I’m considering switching to airless tires instead of the stock pneumatic ones. Specifically, I’m looking at these:

https://yourscooter.de/products/soflow-mytier-vollgummireifen-10x2-125-linie?variant=44287057658124&country=DE&currency=EUR&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20743114733&gbraid=0AAAAAoPUcb3RMTIkuk9D19m5lZ6leUOxG

Has anyone measured the rim width, or knows if these tires would actually fit the 4 Lite (2nd Gen) rims?

Thank you in advance 🙏

Tech Support Kaabo wolf king gtr error codes

Hello I am just wondering if anyone knows what error code 05 and error code 30 mean on the gtr and are they easily (low cost) fixable or would you need to spend a bit more to get it up and running? From what I found online error 30 is something to do with communication so that doesn't seem that hard to fix but error 5 is like an undervoltage issue? The scooter powers on it just doesn't charge.

Buying advice What Helmet Do You Folks Recommend?

I currently use a bicycle helmet. It was a good brand/model recommended by a bike shop (Don’t have the brand/model handy). My scooter is a cheap, low power (36V), scooter that maxes out at 18mph and usually only reaches 15 mph.

If the helmet is okay, would I need something else for a higher power (48V ) scooter when I upgrade later?

Thanks!

So was coving every possible hole with silicon to make it a bit more resistant to water splashes and accidentally overtightened the deck screws and bent it. As far as I know it's all rubber where the bolts are located so it shouldn't be the metal that is bent. How bad is it?

Buying advice E - Scooter for the Race Track

Hello guys,

I am a motorsports photographer and am tired of walking track side every weekend, I have never owned a scooter, I used one at a track where they provided one (I think it was from segway).

I need a robust scooter, because the service roads are awful sometimes(gravel roads, no asphalt sometimes, just driving through dirt).

It doesn't get too steep most of the time, so elevation it should be able to handle to a certain degree, pun intended.

Reach is not too big of an issue, cause I can charge it every 3-4 hours, and on average I need to go about 12 km per day on track.

Budget would be 300-500 €.

Buying advice Helmet Size, Can't Decide between M/L or L/XL Size

Hi, I'm currently considering the 6D Alterra Helmet, but my size falls between two options. I know it's best to try the helmet in person, but since I'll be ordering online, that's not possible. Should I choose M/L 56cm-59cm or L/XL 59cm-62cm? Thanks!

Tech Support iScooter T8 – Slightly increase speed to ~22 km/h in Germany, anyone tried P-Settings?

Hey everyone, I have an iScooter T8 in Germany, which is limited to about 19.6 km/h by default. I’d like to slightly increase the speed, just to around 22 km/h – nothing higher.

I’ve read that there’s a service menu (P-Settings) where small adjustments, like wheel circumference or other parameters, can slightly affect the top speed.

Has anyone tried accessing this menu and changing settings to achieve a small speed boost?

Is it possible to do this without swapping in the international controller?

Thanks for any tips or experiences!

Tech Support Ninebot f3 pro Accelleration Options missing.

I recently bought this scooter. I use to drive f2 plus that had accelleration options which are; power saving, maximum accelleration. I used power saving accelleration mode to get some more range out of it without reducing the top speed? I wonder if its not an option anymore or I can not find it? Lastly, can the option be added in the future? I mean why would they remove that option?

General We're a small dev team and just dropped a huge update to our scooter nav app with multi-stop routes (finally!) – looking for feedback!

Hey r/electricscooters,

I'm one of the developers for the Urban Rider app. For the last few months, our small team (based in Berlin) has been grinding away on a massive update based on feedback from riders like you.

The biggest complaint we heard was the frustration of city commuting: trying to plan a trip with multiple errands, getting sent on bizarre detours, or navigation apps that just don't understand two-wheelers.

So, with our new version 4.0, we focused on solving that. Here’s what we’ve added:

  • ✅ Real Multi-Stop Routes: This was the #1 request. You can now add multiple stops to a single trip, and easily drag-and-drop to reorder them on the fly. Perfect for running errands or for you delivery riders out there.
  • 🧠 Actually Smart Re-Routing: If you take a different turn, the app won't scream at you to make a U-turn. It instantly finds the best new path from where you're actually going.
  • ⚡️ Blazing-Fast Engine: Route calculations are way quicker now, so you can just get on your scooter and go. The whole turn-by-turn experience is much smoother.
  • 🗺️ "Discover" Mode: For those days you just want to ride, the app can generate a random scenic round-trip for you to explore new areas.
  • Better Haptic Feedback: Get turn notifications through vibrations, so you can keep your eyes on the road and traffic.

We’re really proud of it, but we know it's not perfect. We’d genuinely love for you to try it out and give us your brutally honest feedback. What works? What sucks? What feature are we still missing?

We'll be hanging out in the comments all day to answer any questions.

You can check it out here: https://www.urbanrider.app/

Cheers and ride safe!

TL;DR: We're indie devs who just updated our scooter/moped navigation app. It now has multi-stop routes, smarter re-routing, and a "discover new rides" feature. We're looking for honest feedback from real riders.

Tech Support [Help] Ninebot F2 Pro + SHFW settings – keeps shutting down on steep hills

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a Ninebot F2 Pro running SHFW, but I’m struggling to get the right settings dialed in. Before flashing, I was able to climb a steep hill at about 10 km/h (slow but steady). Now, whenever I hit the same hill, the scooter just shuts down — probably tripping some error or safety feature.

Right now my settings are:

  • Current limit: 28 A (stock should be 25 A, and as far as I know it should be safe up to ~32 A)
  • Quadruplic: 0.5 (for smoother start)
  • Acceleration boost: 10%
  • No field weakening enabled or other power tweaks

It rides fine on flat ground, but hills are where it dies. I feel like I don’t have the “baseline” right and I can’t find a clear list of what the stock F2 Pro settings should be in SHFW. Ideally I’d like to restore something close to stock and then tweak from there for a bit more performance without constant shutdowns.

So my questions:

  1. Does anyone have a list of the standard/stock SHFW settings for the F2 Pro?
  2. What tweaks are generally safe to make for better hill-climbing without tripping errors or causing shutdowns?

I know a bit about these settings but probably not enough to fine-tune properly, so any advice or shared configs would help a ton.

Thanks in advance!

Edit:
I heard enabling error suppression settings would work, but suppressing them won't clear the problem, right? Or is the problem, that some safety feature should be disabled when using CFW and not pumping those numbers up like crazy?

Buying advice Lightest 750watt+ scooter?

Hey folks, I need the following, thank you in advance.
Weight limit: 265+
Folding
Cost Limit: $1200.
Nominal NOT Peak watts: 750+ (down to 400 if it's a steal, or nothing exists with the rest of my requirements, but I really do need that much to climb the hills).
Weight: This is the massive concern. I need to be able to lift it, I cannot go above 40 pounds, if thats not possible then just the lightest thing you know of.
Battery Capcity: any, for relatively short distances.
Speed: 20mph is fast enough, I don't mind if it goes faster.
Tire Size: For safety I would prefer larger tires.
Available in the US.
UL Listed.

Would love to bring it on the bus, or be able to easily lift it into my shopping cart or whatever. I'll take as lightweight a scooter as possible, I'm willing to go down on the motor power I guess, but I don't want to.

General Kukirin G4 charging via Power Bank

Hey everyone, I recently got a KuKirin G4 electric scooter. I love it, but I live in an apartment where the only access is a steep staircase so no ramp or elevator. The scooter is pretty heavy, so carrying it up and down every day isn’t realistic. Can i find a small ramp from amazon that can bring it up 5-6 steep stairs? I tried putting a cardboard piece to rev it up but too much friction.

I’ve been thinking about locking it outside, but I’m stuck on the charging issue since I don’t want to bring this heavy machine inside everyday. The G4’s battery isn’t removable. Charging outdoor using a power bank worries me because of rain/snow and fire risk. I am thinking of putting it in a bag or cover while charging seems unsafe since it traps heat and moisture. Whats the best thing i can to charge it without bringing it upstairs? I don’t have a charging dock near by so prolly have to use a power bank.

Tech Support How to remove speed limit on iscooter

My friend has an iscooter ix5s, it has 1000w but with the shunt it’s around 1400w, even before, the speed limit was on 45 and it didn’t change with the battery level as on other scooters, we are thinking on getting a new screen but does anyone how to unlimit it?

Tech Support How to balance the tires so I can hit the top speed.

Just as the subject line says I'm trying to figure out how to balance the tires of a zondo z001 Pro the one that goes says it goes 58 it has 10 in fat wheels which I'm not sure if I like because to find the correct tubes for them is virtually impossible unless I go through zando themselves and they want to charge me $50 plus shipping for the one tube which is ridiculous and I can't find them anywhere.. The closest I could find is described as this 4.00/3.50-6 now why they leave out that it's a 10-in tire diameter I don't know but the correct ones when I look up what I am supposed to get or for these particular fat tires is 10x4.5x6. The problem is the ones that keep getting are slightly too big and form a wrinkle no matter how I do it I have tried smothering the inside of the tire and tube with Vaseline thinking because it does stick the rubber on rubber so I figured lube it up and I can spread it out but it's still forms a crease as hard as I try and then I have the split rims and trying my hardest using a flashlight and tools to make sure I do not pinch any of the tube somehow even after a day of using it and thinking okay I've done it right this time it'll go flat and I'll try to pump air in it and I'll hear it pouring out I'll take the rental part and see a huge slice or cut or whatever where it was pinched too hard and eventually cut it open. I don't like these fat tires to be honest they kind of steer funny and the minute they lose air they steer real funny now they do let you drive it a little longer because of the thick side walls with no air in them but it's the only issue I have with this scooter I think it's the best scooter by far you're going to get for the money because even with the unbalanced tires that starts happening at 40 mph I still can hit 50 I just can't go any faster than that as I can feel something kick in maybe like a traction control or motor cutoff because of the vibration maybe it thinks I'm losing traction but I would do like to go 40 to 50 when I'm on my way to work and the vibration I'm afraid is going to vibrate the thing apart is already broke the rear fender off and I've had to replace so any any information on where to get that exact tire besides Amazon because I can't find it there no I already looked looked at Walmart can't find it there The only place I can find it as zando for $50 plus shipping and that's for one stinking tube that should cost maybe five bucks. I've even thought about switching tires if I could but I'm not sure and 11-in tire would fit I guess I should look more into that because it's a 6-in rim that's very fat Anyway help please I am out of auctions and I am tired of using just about one tube a day is what it's averaging out to now.
