If it happens, I will quit, cash out anything that's tied to the US dollar, move to another country and watch shit burn from there. States are in no way prepared for this burden, many have minimal EM staff, and much of that is grant-funded by... guess who... I'm not saying FEMA is perfect but this would be criminally negligent as a move for the government to make

I also think many states and counties rely heavily on FEMA’s EMPG funding for EM staff and therefore have never really placed value in emergency management. FEMA has become very top heavy and has gotten away from the original mission. Not to mention all the red tape that comes with applying for assistance. I don’t know what the answer is and am becoming very frustrated with the entire field.

I agree with you wholeheartedly ... And this wouldn't exactly be the first criminally negligent move for this administration (even in the last two days!)

And I'm not sure my extensive PA experience would be much use anywhere else 🤣🤦.

My backup plan was to go to a contractor or consulting firm, but if FEMA is totally demolished... Knowing the ins and outs of FEMA funding won't get me very far
