So, I usually sell my son’s outgrown clothes (shirts + joggers) on FB Marketplace for like $1–3 each. Nothing fancy, used but good condition (as stated on FB marketplace), no rips/major stains, sold as a lot with pics. This woman (“Karen”) buys about $50 worth. A couple days later, she blows up my inbox saying how maddening it is that I sold her stuff with “a lot of stains and very worn.” She sends me a bunch of pics of two shirts with teeny-tiny stains I honestly didn’t notice. I apologized, told her I’d refund her for those items.

Well… now she’s demanding a full refund. She’s been messaging me nonstop for days (both FB and email-sent me interac transfer). I’ve been ignoring her messages since Marketplace is usually no returns, final sale kind of deal. This morning, she literally drops the bag of clothes off on my porch and keeps spamming me to give her money back. I just want her to go away at this point, so I’m tempted to refund the whole $50 even though she got the clothes, had them for days. And even sends me messages like they’re not even “worth donating" and "I should own up and take responsibility!"

It’s stressing me out way more than it should. What would you do in my situation? TIA for listening and sharing your thoughts!

so im a big guy with tattoos this comes in handy at work (im a bouncer) ... not so much when im watching my Niblings( if you dont k ow its gender neutral for niece and nephew) at the playground.

So my sister lives across the hall from me in an apartment building and is a single mother of 3 her jobs hours are 11 to 7 I work nights as a bouncer so I often get up at around 2pm we have a system in place whare I'll pick up her kids from school and take care of them till she is off work

So last Tuesday I am picking up the niblings from school thair 9 and 11 respective during the pick up karen is also picking up her kid and is giving me the stink eye but I think whatever so me and the kids start walking to the playground near by that is right next to my apartment I live on the ground floor and have a balcony that will be important later.

The karen follows in her car we get to the playground and the niblings start to play the karen lets her kid play at the playground at the same time still stink eyeing me.

After about an hour I call to the niblings that its time to head in for a bit thair having so much fun that I cant tare them away and tell them to come check in every few minutes at the balcony.

I head inside and start to make them snacks I was feeling jenorus so I made 2 frozen pizza and started to hand them out to any kid who wanted them if thair parents were OK with it Karen's kid comes up and I say go ask your parent they go over and a few seconds later karen aproches phone in hand.

She starts to say im a pervert who she followed after I kidnapped 2 children from a nearby school and was now useing them to lure other children away from thair parents.

Thing is most of the parents at the park are aware and are my neighbors so the jump to my defense, Karen's response is to claim we're a cult or something at this point no one is paying any attention to her untill she grabs at my niece and claims shes going to take my niece somewhere safe.

Now I will remind you I am a large man about 6'6 and I am also quite chubby but my job is literally dealing with drunken idiots 7 days a week so when I here my niece fry out I charge off the balcony at karen but I dont even get to her before one of the moms in my building has her tucked to the ground while 3 other parents catch all this on video.

Eventuly we let the karen go once she promises to leave and she dose leave but is back in less then half an hour with the cops claming were all children traffickers who attempted to kidnap her kid.

This gose no whare fast for a few reasons, the videos we have of her freaking out, the fact thair are about 8 parents all telling the same story exept her.

Overall nothing bad happend but I still see karen every weekday at the school and I cant help but laugh

Edit: also I originally wrote this in May I just didn't post it till now because my sister wanted to post it after another incident with the same karen bit as bad as the first she showed up at the bar I bounce for i let her in but she definitely recognized me

At the pool, nobody was using the ducks, and they were scattered everywhere. I decided to collect them in the bucket and put it in the middle, so people could take them if they want. This Karen came up to me and told me I was selfish and greedy.

Karen, whoever you are, I helped organize a shared space. By collecting them, I made the area tidier. That helps everyone. Putting them all in one place (the middle) made it easier for people to find and use them. I wasn't keeping them for myself—I was literally sharing them more efficiently. I took initiative without being asked. Nobody told me to clean up, but I saw the pool filled with ducks nobody helped put back, like they needed to put the ducks in the place they belonged. I took action there, Karen! Everyone is there to have fun, but what good it is if kids don't have an organized space to play? I didn't "harm" anyone by excluding them. I didn't tell anyone they couldn't use them.

This should be a lesson that you shouldn't jump to conclusions! Like you might have assumed I was hoarding the ducks without actually observing what I was doing. Next time, Karen, just ask politely. It costs nothing to be kind and respectful to people.

This power tripping Karen encounter has been bugging me for a few days so I thought I’d share.

I live in a small town with a very small airport (only 4- 8 flights out a day.) I was dropping my BIL off in the designated airport drop off zone after a fishing trip and it was not busy at all since we were early for his flight. (There were 2 other cars pulled over also dropping people off)

I left my car running and quickly hopped out to help BIL unload his luggage from my trunk onto the luggage cart as he had a lot of gear, and then my daughter and I gave him a quick hug. We’d been there less than two minutes and we were just saying goodbye and about to hop back in our car and leave when Karen (or I guess Ken in this case) the parking lot security walks by and starts waving his arms at me and yelling “you can’t park here, you need to move”. Surprised I reply “oh we aren’t parked we were just dropping someone off and we are now leaving”. He stops walking and points at my car and angrily yells at me like I’m stupid “there’s no one in driver’s seat”….um yeah cuz I was helping unload luggage.

I’m really confused at this point as we’re in the designated drop off area, we are not loitering -all we’ve done is quickly unload and say goodbye, and there are two other cars doing the exact same thing but not getting yelled at.. I tell security Ken “my car is still running, we’re not parked, we were just unloading and now we’re done so we can leave” and I move to get back in my car. This isn’t good enough though as he angrily yells at me some more“it doesn’t matter if your car is running or not, if the driver’s seat is empty you’re parked, now move your car”.

BIL looked at each other and both started laughing at the ridiculousness of it. BIL said to let him have his power-trip , I wished I wished him a safe flight and got back in my car. But seriously was I just supposed to slow down a little and shove BIL out the door and throw his luggage out the window after him? WTH?

I am an employee at a pet store. I have been here about a month but I like to think I have acquired a fair amount of knowledge to assist people. This woman came in asking about harnesses stating she needed a medium harness for her dog. She said most of them were too bulky (they don’t really make them any other way) but I directed her to some of the less bulky ones but she was concerned that it was too small (we didn’t jump sizes). She then asked to speak to someone who might know more, and I told her the manager that would know more is currently out on lunch (a true fact). She said she would wait. She then came to the register and I rang her out to which she asked if the manager is here, and I replied my Store Manager is here. It didn’t click with her that the manager that could help her with harnesses and the store manager were not the same person. She blew up on me, then tried to get me in trouble with my manager. When he asked how she would like this resolved, her response was that my manager should quote “ train his employees better!” She then took her harness and left after she paid. Cut to an hour later, my store manager had left for the day and I was closing with the other manager previously mentioned. She came back and returned the harness stating it was choking her dog. The End!!!! This is my customer service horror story. Hope you enjoyed and would love to hear reactions!

So I was out shopping with my mam yesterday and was in the fruit and vegetable aisle. I wanted a bag of salad which I saw there was one left. A lady was looking for something next to the salad I wanted to i decided to wait until she was done. She was looking for the best date in the thing she was buying so had moved a whole box of food onto where my salad was and had scattered things all over the bottom of the shelf.

I, at a normal volume asked "are you going to clean that up" she didn't hear me and was already walking away so I said slightly louder "excuse me are you going to clean that up" not a full shout but loud enough for a few people around us to hear. She heard me this time and walked up to me and told me off for being rude and shouting in public and asked me to apologise, I did because I didn't want to get into a crazy argument on the middle of weekly shopping. She kept saying about how it was rude and how I shouldn't be shouting at people in public. She half arsed cleaning it up and still left the box on top of what I was getting. I moved the box and got my food. I got quite upset over it and a person who had saw it happen told me that the lady was in the wrong and not me. My mam gave me a few minutes to calm down and we continued with our shopping.

About like 20 minutes later we where almost done (like last two aisles or something) and the lady turned onto the same aisle as us and said "oh there you are I've been looking for you" I was really confused and she proceeded to go to my mam and I didn't hear this too well but from what I could here she said "is your child autistic, I have a nefew with autism and he acts like that in public, is your child autistic" my mam told her it was none of her business and that I had just wanted her to clean up the mess she had made and explained how literally everyone else could tell I was not being rude or shouting when I asked her. She started complaining about how I had embarrassed her acting like she didn't make the mess in the first place before finally leaving us alone.

I am amazed how some people have the nerve to go asking people if their kid is autistic because they asked them to tidy a mess, this was wild

Saw one in the wild this morning. A grandmother Karen, husband and grandkids in tow, based on their collective uniform headed on a Disney cruise.

MSP is a complete goddamned zoo. Everyone is a little twitchy, including me, but doing what they have to do. For some reason they’ve combined the Clear and Precheck lines, annoying, one longer line instead of two shorter, but again, people are just doing their thing.

Grandkaren starts stalking the line, walking towards the back, walking towards the front, thought she was going to start carding people, registering her clear disapproval of, something, everything, who knows. I, who should know better, I fly a lot, so being nice, I ask if there is a question I could answer. “I want. To know. Why the CLEAR line is so long.” Teeth grinding, could chew up a quarter and spit out bits of metal.
