League Question Sunday Night Injuries and FAAB

Hi guys,

A league of mine is doing FAAB for the first time on ESPN (I know ESPN isn't the best). Running smoothly, but now that we are in week 2 I've foreseen a pretty big issue. On ESPN, I don't see a way to allow for Free Agency to occur on Sundays (for example, if you have a player questionable going into Sunday Night get ruled out 30 mins before kick off, that manager cannot simply add a player but instead must add a bid that doesn't get processed until the next day). Does anyone using ESPN have a remedy for this issue, or is the answer for just me to manually fulfil Sunday Injury transfer requests?

Thanks

I'm assuming your league is set to "continuous" for waivers, or something like that?

You should be able to change that setting, but first I think you need to be 100% transparent with the league, put it up for a vote, and have it take effect at the beginning of the week.

Until you make that change, do not manually process any Sunday transactions, as everyone so far has been playing under the current rules. Some teams likely noticed the setting and have made sure to pick up backups prior to Sunday to account for it, possibly having to drop players they wouldn't have otherwise.

Then you'll need to leave this alone until you set up the league again next year.

Another reason that espn can suck. Inability for the commissioner to make in-season changes for the better of the league. Things get overlooked before the season, I don’t get why they lock so many league manager tools after the draft

If they're doubtful or questionable heading into the weekend, it's best to put in multiple claims for Sunday morning. If they get sick that night, you just gotta take it on the chin if you're not rostering anyone that can fill in. Not much different than if they get injured on the first play or something similar.

your problem is not faab, it is "continuous" waivers instead of "game time" which to me is such a dumb setting it shouldnt exist
