League Drama Thoughts on Veto. Waddle for Harvey.

Post image

12 team PPR. This is a new league start up redraft. Original trade was Waddle for Harvey. Then countered with QBs added in. League Vetoed. This felt fairly reasonable and definitely no collusion.

This is first year in this league and this is the first trade that went up and it was vetoed within an hour.

Thoughts?

Leagues should NOT give veto votes to league members. That is a perfectly fine trade.

Nothing about this is veto worthy. League mates suck and should be shown that they are being crazy

League vetos are garbage and need to be removed.

NEVER VETO TRADES

Your league mates are petulant children. Please take veto power away from them.

Idiots. Show them the comments.

Why would anyone continue to try and trade if they also have to consider the fact that the league could just veto it in an hour…

yea that's not really a "veto" trade. Regardless if its bad or not

Why were vetos turned on? Trades should process immediately after they’re accepted. Your league should have talked about this and put it in the league rules.

Right to jail. No collusion, no veto.

League vetoes should only be allowed for trades involving the commish

Jesus christ. How is this unfair?? What does a fair trade even look like to these people lol? If it can be done safely, tell them how stupid this is, drop all players for duds, then bounce. Otherwise just set a line up, and never touch it again. If there is money on the line just do add/drops and veto every trade if you have a vote.

I am part of a league that has existed for nearly 40 years. It started as fantasy baseball, then both baseball and football, now just football. I’ve only been in it for 8 years now. In all that 40 year history, only 1 trade has ever been vetoed. One person was mathematically eliminated and tried to trade his starters for his friend’s bench in the second to last week of the season. That was vetoed, those 2 were not invited back, and we added a trade deadline.

I am astounded at not only the frequency of vetoed trades here, but at how fair the trades tend to be. Sometimes they are lopsided, but some players like to speculate on future value, or they have a stud on the bench but need a starter at a different position so they gotta overpay. Lopsided does not mean unfair, and the only time a veto should be used is egregious and overt collusion

Quit the league

Has this group just become a veto trade now?

I don't understand why trades get vetoed unless there's collusion. Most of the time it's literal adults making decisions, let them.

If there is no collusion, or any other rules violations, it should stand. This trade is not league breaking. If the Dolphins trade Tyreek, which is a real possibility, Waddle could become highly valuable.

I don’t particularly like any of these players. None are top-10 at their position. They’re all potentially streamable
