The attaching to a crane for the lift at the end is just next level man. Awesome work
59 u/JKMC4 Dec 12 '20 The one shot opener in better call Saul when they did that doesn’t even look this smooth. 7 u/rudiegonewild Dec 12 '20 Which opener was that. I can't recall a one shot off the top of my head 7 u/JKMC4 Dec 12 '20 Season 2 ep 8 “Fifi” 6 u/rudiegonewild Dec 12 '20 Thanks. Just gave it a watch again. One shots are so cool. So much choreography. 9 u/underwhelmed_irl Dec 13 '20 Link for anyone else that wants to see what they are talking about. I feel like the BCS one needs some to stabilize the camera, but maybe that not was the director wanted. 1 u/thatG_evanP Dec 13 '20 Was Fifi a person? Because I've always known a fifi to be something else that would be weird to name an episode of a tv show after. 3 u/Thunder_Volty Dec 13 '20 With how meticulous Vince and Peter Gould are, everything about this shot definitely seems like it's a conscious decision and fully intentional. 3 u/brenex29 Dec 13 '20 Look into some bts stuff for 1917. 2 u/keep_trying_username Dec 12 '20 Came here to say the same thing. Absolute wizard 1 u/Relevant-Team Dec 13 '20 Have you seen "Much ado about nothing" with Kenneth Branagh? The final scene with the SteadyCam going up in a crane remembers me of that here. There is a great "Making of" for that movie :-)
