Tried to factory reset it and it updated, stopped and then back to the double image. I don’t wanna waste my time at Best Buy. Is it just time to get a new TV? Had this since October of 23 so it hasn’t even been a full two years. No issues at all prior to this.

Just bought a brand-new 55 inch Phillips Roku from Walmart and after plugging in my fire stick it looks like this. What can I do to fix this?

Here’s my situation: I am using a first gen FireTV 4K Max with 2 Echo 3rd gens in a pair on a Panasonic 55FX700 TV, and I can’t get HDMI ARC to work reliably on my TV.

I have already done: VIERA Link turned on, Audio mode to PCM, Speaker selection to Home Theatre, I did plug my FireTV into the ARC port. Every two week or so it will disconnect and the only fix is to completely reconfigure my setup, which takes around half an hour. Sometimes it would still be recognised on the TV and say “Home Theatre” but adjusting volume on the TV remote does nothing, most of the time the “speaker selection” menu would be completely gone and I will need to completely reconfigure it, power cycle everything multiple times to get it working again (usually have to go through this multiple times, it is incredibly unlikely for me to get it in one try). Is this a problem with Amazon, my TV’s HDMI ARC, or something else?

I was trying to watch Andor on Disney using a Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max 2024 model. At my gf's place. S2:E2 would not launch. Also had the same issue with S2:E4. When trying to launch it would go back to the list of episodes. If I tried again it would go back to the main Disney+ launch page. I used my gf's firestick and her Disney+ account to watch E2, but had to sit through ads since she has the basic plan. I ended up using the Disney+ app on the Smart TV itself to watch E4.

I bought the Fire TV cube, got it overnight. I was able to watch the rest of the season until S2:E12. It would do the same thing as with episodes 2 and 4.

I only had one app that didn't work correctly one time. That was the WNBA app and I forget the issue, other than that no other issues with the fire stick.

Tried all the usual fixes other than a factory reset. Clearing cache/data, uninstalling and reinstalling. And of course the Fire TV Cube. The issue likely has to do with that version of Disney+ on Fire TV and the fact that I have the premium plan. But that's a theory. At home I have a PC, and two game consoles to stream from so this is unlikely to be a big issue for me in the future. For the TV at my gf's place where the issue occurred I'm replacing the Fire TV stick with a Apple TV.

Still would like to know if anyone has a similar issue and what they did to resolve it.

Sorry I’ve tried every forum restarting etc but can’t seem to get a solution. When I restart I can see the logo appearing so it’s not a hdmi issue. But then it just turns to full grey? I’ve tried installing the app to see if it would connect but no good. Been like this a few days

I’ve been trying to get my AirPods connected while also getting sound. They can connect/pair easily it’s just the part that comes with getting sound that doesn’t. I’ve tried unplugging it, I tried manually restarting it, I’ve tried pairing and unpairing it, I’ve tried connecting and unconnecting it still nothing. I’m completely at shock on how it won’t work please someone tell me what to do.

disney plus, the live match's audio is cutting out, video is in slow motion. Not happening on xbox app or phone. Only fire stick, Internet fine and all other apps and videos running okay on fire stick. Is it just the fire stick disney app?

i’m trying to set up my new fire tv in my dorm room and it won’t update. i’m assuming it has something to do bc to do with the wifi but i’m not sure. the dorm uses Resnet for devices like televisions. i registered the mac address on resnet and when i selected the network on the tv it said the connection was successful. then it says “checking for updates” and always shows this screen, saying it can’t update. i also tried to connect it to the university’s public wifi as well as my iphone’s personal hotspot, all with the same result. i tried going to the device support website. it gives me advice like:

go to settings to make sure the wifi is connected (i can’t go to the settings. since its a brand new tv and hasn’t been set up, i can’t switch to any other screen other than the page where it lets u select a language and select a network)

check your router and do stuff with it (it’s a dorm room so i don’t have access to any kind of router)

factory reset the tv by holding the back button and right side of the control circle thing (i did that and reset it but am still getting the same result)

any advice?? pls help

What brand of TV is compatible with Sankey to configure the remote control?.... I have already tried with Aiwa, TLC, Samsung, Phillips, JVC and none works, with Telefunken it turns on and off but does not turn up the volume, what other brand can I use or does anyone know the Go profile to enter manually.

I got this second hand firetv looking for gaming in my room. Model NS-24DF310NA21. I had a fire stick remote that was able to use on it initially. But there was a bug where the regular TV channels won't add, went down the rabbit hole brought me to factory reset, then stuck at the screen "tap home to pair" on the remote.

My fire stick remote were not recognize anymore as I was reading that it might be an older model. Bought a newer one that compatable with this TV and it would work, turning on, volume+/-, back button but still stuck at the pairing with remote at the tap home screen.

I've also tried the other method by plugging the machine to the network and using the firetv app on my phone still doesn't get past this screen.

I know it's not the remote issue as it's working, just stuck at pairing with all the reset button methods I tried.

Any help?

This is the weirdest thing...I go to click on disney+ app. Screen comes up that it needs an update. Button for update on right of screen. Remote won't let me click right to highlight update. I click ok, takes me to another screen to open disney+, which sends me back to need update screen where I cant update.

what messaging apps work w/ fireTV? TV not tablet

ive used these ports for a few years without issue and suddenly its not playing audio or video through it. tested multiple devices. would a factory reset maybe fix this? it'll be a pain to redownload and sign in to all my apps but im not sure what else to try

So I lost the remote to my tv while moving and so now my tv is not connected to the WiFi so I cannot use the app how can I get a new remote and pair it or somehow get my tv connected to WiFi so I can use the remote app?

Hello all! Thank you for reading my post. I have an LG Ultragear 32in monitor (32GN650 - in case it helps). It's a pretty standard QHD monitor with basic volume controls from its single button. I connect it with a basic soundbar through aux.

What I want to understand is - would the fire TV stick allow me to control volume by its remote?

I read in the product description that Volume Buttons only work on a tv and not on monitor? I am unable to understand how that could be? Do the volume controls on fire stick remote not control how much audio volume Fire Stick is outputting?

Somehow the whole settings menu is locked. Dolby Digital Plus is activated there but I can't choose anything else. Since I use a 2x Echo Studio + Echo Sub configuration i want to make use of Dolby Atmos.

Why is it that when i run a speedtest i get like 500 Mbps give or take, but when download bigger files through ftp or http the speed caps out around 75 Mbps?

so my daughter & i put the remote app on both my phone & her ipad.

the other day randomly, both devices stopped connecting to the tv. they are all 3 on the same wi-fi network. i have unplugged & plugged the firestick in so many times, uninstalled & reinstalled the app from my phone, tried using alexa to control the tv (she can’t connect either & is on the same wi-fi network). i can’t get past the accounts screen to go into settings & put it on HDMI CEC either & when i select “add new fire tv device on the remote app it’s not finding it either 😩😭😩😭

All right, Luddite millennial here trying really hard to set up my 75-year old-dad's FireTV.

He has watched nothing but locally broadcast channels his whole life, always flat out refused to upgrade to cable. Now he can no longer receive the channels he watches the most, so in a desperate attempt to get him to stop CLIMBING LIKE A PSYCHO up a ricketty ladder onto the roof to f*ck with his antenna, I got him a FireTV stick because someone told him he could get local channels through the stick.

He is not at all tech-savvy (nor am I) and he doesn't ask for much- we figured out how to stream his local PBS, and now he really just wants to be able to watch Jeopardy every night at 6 PM the way he always has.

Any and all insight is welcome! We have got a textbook example of the blind leading the blind over here. Thanks in advance!

Anyone have an issue with the firecube not working properly at times with their tv? Sometimes I try and turn it off and only the cube turns off but the TV remains on... then Sometimes the controller doesn't want to respond even though it has new batteries... the cube is directly connected to the router... I have a fire tv in my room thats connected via wifi about 50 feet away and it doesn't have any of these issues... the TV in the livingroom is a firetv... I ended up connecting a cube to it because the interface on the TV was slow

Here is what I’m working with…

Daughter lost her remote to her firetv when she moved. TV is at her new place, but can’t connect it to WiFi without a remote. Purchased a new remote and it won’t recognize it. Tried all of the steps I have found so far:

• Connected to Ethernet, used app to navigate, but can’t connect to WiFi with Ethernet connected. Navigated to connect additional remote, held the home button, still nothing

Any ideas?
