If this happened in Boston they would’ve had 13 guys on the roof venting

I love the American firefighting videos. Seems when a house is on fire you guys first priority is getting as much oxygen into the fire as possible. Making giant holes in the roof. Smashing every window you can from out side. Kicking the doors in. Honestly sometimes seems the fire does less damage than the fire department

Roof venting has its advantages, in a fully involved large structure fire. The heat, smoke and gasses then have somewhere to go, otherwise they’ll spread laterally and engulf more and more of the building. It is still 100% an American thing though, I’m a Firefighter in New Zealand and it’s very much unheard of here.

Yeah I am pretty sure it's an American thing exclusively. The rest of the world just puts water on the fire ASAP. Americans seem to spend half their time/manpower putting holes in the building.
