If there’s no contract then a no strike clause likely no longer exists? I wonder what Tier 3 retirement is going to look like for those guys…

It was already illegal for public safety unions to strike in Utah before they passed this nonsense. Also every district in the state is so gerrymandered every single union member voting blue wouldn’t change a thing. Utah is ass.

It’s pretty unlikely any public sector department would actually full on strike. Unlike nurses or like Boeing FD, there isn’t going to be anyone the department can bring in to fill spots and most career members would feel too bad leaving calls unanswered to strike meaningfully and brown out rigs.
